  • "What a fantastic cottage, so well equipped, cosy and with some beautiful features all competed to a very high standard."

So lovely to find dog chews and bowls on arrival as well as wine for us and some wonderful dark chocolate. Had a fair bit of rain so wet clothing and dogs but plenty of drying hooks and wood burner to cosy up next to in the evening. Didn’t want to leave. Thank you

  • "We found the cottage clean and comfortable."

The kitchen appliances were all very good. The cottage was cleverly designed to make the best use of the available space. Provision of coathooks was brilliant. Limited storage space in the bedrooms due to their size. Kichen would benefit from a storage cupboard for food, eg no bread bin. Nervous drivers may be troubled by the access to and from the road. Howver overall we enjoyed our holiday in the cottage and appreciated the lovely views around.

Hi Michael, thank you for your insights it’s always useful. Unfortunately a couple of the items we can’t address as these traditional Lakeland cottages are quaint and small but Sunny Point is more spacious than many. We’ve managed to have a wardrobe in each room with hanging space and shelves and there is usually space under the beds for your luggage. In the kitchen there are 2 pull out baskets for the storage of bread, tins or fruit and veg. The cottage has off road parking behind it and to get to this you take a fork turning off the main road. We can understand that if you wish to turn right onto this front road from the rear of the cottage it is a sharp turn. If anyone feels nervous about this then we suggest turning left and turning around in the pub car park 200m and then back up the road in that direction. Property Owner

  • "A nice location."

House was well laid out.beds comfortable. Nice to have washing machine and dryer but would have been nice to hang washing outside has weather was good but there was no facilities for it. Closed garden ok but had to keep eye on dog he jumped over wall when another dog put his nose over wall. We have a small mini jack and he jumped on wall into road so panic. Parking was ok for are 2 cars.

Thanks for your feedback, we are delighted you had a great stay. We will address your feedback where we can. We are already changing our cleaners. I am afraid we can’t do anything about the height of the garden traditional lake stone walls, they are as per the photos. Property Owner

  • "Had a wonderful stay in this very welcoming cottage that has amazing views."

There are all the amenities that you need and more. The beds are comfortable and everywhere was lovely and warm. It’s situated on a quiet road, but only a short walk from the pub and drive into Kendal. We had a problem with a flat tyre on departure day. The owners were easy to contact and helpful. Would recommend this cottage as a great base for whatever your plans are in the Lakes.
