  • "Just got back from a lovely stay at fell view park in an escape pod."

The hot tub fantastic so hot and very private. Bed extremely comfy, we brought our own pillows and was needed as you only get one. the fire was my favourite part and we thoroughly utilised it. Perfect place for a getaway, you do have to drive if you want to do anything but we just wanted to stay in. Could do with a shower mat as was very slippery but only thing I could think of to improve on that’s how good the stay was

  • "Excellent break away from the kids in luxury pod."

Nice clean quiet site, surprisingly spacious pods with lovely jacuzzi and super comfy bed. Was very hot when we stayed but there is fan in bedroom which was great. Would defo come back. Few minor things, towel rail - couldn’t work out how to switch this off, heating goes to min but that seems to turn water temp down so shower cold if you do that, can’t get to switch for radiator in bathroom as closed behind bottom of sink. Also lots of midgies outside at night when it’s warm especially if u get in the hot tub, so remember to take some insect repellant or the likes as we struggled to find anything until the last day. Have already recommended to friends who are thinking of booking

  • "This was our first time visiting and it did not disappoint!"

The site is immaculate, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation had everything you need for a self catering break and the bed was nice and comfortable. We loved the log burner and hot tub, and the views were absolutely stunning! We booked a return taxi to go for drinks and a meal in Kirby Lonsdale on the Saturday evening (which is just a few minutes away by car), and another day we walked to Kirby Lonsdale for afternoon drinks and lunch, (takes around 20 minutes each way so if you don't fancy walking, make sure you book a taxi in advance!). We couldn't have asked for a better 3 night stay, and we can't wait to visit again : )

  • "Very nice property."

Just need to spell departure correctly on your notice. Apart from that everything was good. I would suggest dressing gowns as part of the linen on site. Would have been nice when getting out of hot tub. But not important. Really liked the location etc

  • "Beautiful Pod and obviously designed well with high quality materials and thought."

Plenty of space and well equipped. The log fire was really easy to use as was the hot tub. Bed was comfortable, pillows not so good. We have stayed in a number of Pods and this ranked very well and was good value for money. As we went in Spring the bushes around the Pod were dormant and provided slightly less privacy but that is not picking, would certainly use again.

About the location

KIRKBY LONSDALE

Kendal 9 miles.

An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country".
