This may cause issues if the pub is sold or redeveloped. The linen basket was full of dirty towels. I did try to contact the number but did not get a reply. I washed them myself in the end rather than leaving them there. The cottage itself was lovely although there was a note stating that if we wanted to use the log burner, then we had to go and buy some. The picture shows a shed full of logs but this is not the case. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Couldn't figure out how to switch on the towel rain though. Shower lovely, everything very fresh and clean.

The property

A homely cottage with a fabulous interior situated in the village of Catton, a lovely location with a sense of charm.

Ideal for couples or friends, this retreat is a comfortable base to return to after a day of adventure with your loved ones.

Upon entering, you will arrive into a freshly designed kitchen, elevated by its excellent features and marble effect which graces the worktops.

After preparing your favourite meals wander into the lounge/diner, a wonderful spot to relax on the deep coloured sofas or at the table which seats up to four people.

With the addition of a woodburner, you can enjoy the warm ambience all-year-round.

The next floor leads up to a modern bathroom tied together with a freestanding bath and a separate shower, so you can get ready in the way that suits you.

Choose from two bedrooms for a peaceful night’s sleep, two doubles are classically presented with a splash of colour.

The first includes hanging space for clothes, whilst the second benefits from a wardrobe, set of drawers and a modern desk for you to make use of.

After enjoying the interior, why not take a moment to rest on the furniture outside and appreciate your location, or wander into the village, which houses a charming pub serving the finest food.
