A very spacious property and beautiful views.

  • "Absolutely gorgeous place and in a lovely location, with some stunning scenery."

The property is very warm and welcoming. There was a lot of caring touches, such as well catered for welcome tray including treats for the dog and two gorgeous decorated Christmas trees as we visited over the Christmas period. We would Highly recommend and look forward to coming back to this place.

  • "Great property big enough for us all."

Kitchen was well equipped. The welcome pack was really lovely and thoughtful. The pint of milk was fab been years since I’ve had a bottle of milk. Beds were super comfortable and bedding was warm as an older property it does get cold. The heating was great and the fire on an evening sharp warmed the room up. Pubs for meals were both walking distance but defo recommend booking we couldn’t get into the old swan as was fully booked. I would take my dog the next time as I think it would be perfect. Would love to return in the summer the area is beautiful and Skipton is excellent.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Really fabulous place, well located, everything we needed for a few days away."

The house was as described, clean and well presented, and was the perfect place to rest up after a hard day's walking in the autumn air – it was particularly nice to put the gas fire on in the front room making it warm and toasty. We'll definitely be booking again! It's useful to know that the house is just on the edge of Gargrave, so a 8 minute walk into the village centre. It's located on a narrow track where parking is tight but a sign meant there was always a space for us directly outside the house.

Location great in a lovely village with plenty little local walks for dogs. Great location for travelling to near by villages and towns. We loved Malham, Grassington, Skipton and Hebden Bridge but was loads of other places we would have liked to have visited so will be back

  • "The house was just ideal."

It’s in a pretty and friendly village, quiet with lovely walks, but it also has a good coop and a choice of places to eat. We loved having two sitting areas so some could watch TV while others chatted. The utility room was great for bikes and muddy boots (and paws!). We would happily recommend and book again.

Neighbours were polite and all said hello. Cottage had all the necessary facilities and well placed for a short walk into Gargrave with great places to eat and drink plus the Co-op for any supplies. Welcome pack is a nice idea and appreciated Back door is slightly stiff but otherwise a great place.

Good facilities in the village and Skipton just an easy drive away. Nice walks, scenery, and picturesque villages close by. Very enjoyable stay and appreciated the wine and essentials provided on our arrival.

Also lovely friendly neighbours either side. Very pleasant stay here on our 4th visit to Gargrave. Our dogs loved watching the cows go by every morning . Would certainly come here again.

  • "The property had a home from home feel about it."

The beds were very comfy the decor was on point, clean white walls & loved how all the bedrooms had curtains to match the name of the cottage it was a very nice touch. The complimentaries left for us were fab tea, coffee, hot chocolate, wine and shortbread biscuits. We had a very nice stay. The dining room bulb went on the Friday and there were nowhere to say where any spare bulbs where to be able to change it for the next people. There was no prop for the washing line.

Lovely neighbours. Kids loved the cows just at random times there was a smell coming from them but you get used to it. we had some beautiful walks not too far like malham cove. thank you

  • "Situated in a quiet corner of the village with wide country views handy for park and local shops and pubs."

Presentation of cottage with kingfisher theme first class with good quality bed linen and towels. Excellent shower and well equipped kitchen. Comfy seating areas in lounge and dining room with gas fires if needed ( not used). The utility annex’offered washer and drier and an alternative entrance for wet weather. The welcome tray was much appreciated with tv dvd player wi-fi books and selection of games for wet weather or days in The only downside was perhaps a lack of second toilet and people not using the recycling bin properly- we ended up taking all our waste back home. Overall would book again

Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated. We can only apologise for the recycling bin situation as we do rely on our guests to put the bins out as per the information folder. I will try and make alternative arrangements for this to be done. Regarding the second toilet, it is something we are thinking of, we are just trying to think if a good place to put one. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "This is a well appointed holiday cottage in an interesting village."

Gypsies caused some irritation by parking their caravans in the lane but otherwise the location is good. Due to the heat wave we did less walking than normal. The area is predominantly flat and parking charges near the places of interesting were high. We had a very enjoyable day in Harrogate.

Very spacious with everything we needed. Thank you for all the little extras. Great to find tea, milk, biscuits etc on arrival. Gargrave is a lovely village. Not much of a garden but not needed as its a quiet area so dog walking was easy and there is a lovely river walk just down the road.

  • "Great comfortable cottage in a lovely location."

It will be better when work on the river is finished but that is unavoidable. It was still possible to sit outside in the evening, weather permitting as work finished early. A couple of things needed in the kitchen, a wooden spoon and a new fish slice. Other than that everything was brilliant.

Lovely cottage but some issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the oven and microwave. It might also be worth investing in more crockery, cutlery and utensils.

  • "Lovely, beautiful, warm and very spacious cottage."

The owner had gone to a huge effort to add beautiful Christmas decorations. The gas log burner was lovely. Sadly building works and heavy plant digging all around on this occasion. The garden was unsuitable for dogs as it was about 1m squared, not as described. The photos showed a bigger garden, but that was shared and ungated land between the cottages. It was exhausting and cold having to put two dogs on the lead for toileting and head off for walkies from 6:30am to 10:30pm. This made the holiday a bit challenging, but we still enjoyed a fabulous family get together in a beautiful location.

Thank you for your feedback, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at the cottage. I apologise if there has been any confusion regarding the garden area. The garden is as described in the description stating 'an enclosed patio to the front, along with a rear garden'. Property Owner
