  • "We had a wonderful week at Lakeside View."

There's everything here for a comfortable stay: crisp, high-quality bedding, a well appointed kitchen, a lovely art-deco vibe to the decorations. There was a thoughtful welcome package waiting on arrival, and plenty of well-organised information to help us plan our stay. We came during particularly rainy weather, and on one of the wettest days, the large box of board games came in very handy as we chose to stay in. Best of all, however, is the location: there is so much to do within walking distance. Beautiful grounds, two pubs, the steam railway, the ferry across the lake, the aquarium, a little private woodland, and lots of walking trails (child-friendly) into the country side. There is also direct access to the lake's water sports, for the summer months. The owners are warm and responsive with questions, and made us feel very welcome. We loved our time there and look forward to returning.

Many thanks for taking the time and effort to write such a wonderful review and for choosing your holiday at Lakeside View, Lakeside. Holidays and memories are so precious and, as owner of Lakeside View, I feel that I have a responsibility to provide the best holiday experience for our holiday guests as is possible, (weather excluded!) At Lakeside View you can enter another world - just for a few days - of relaxation, peace and tranquility where you can 'charge up the batteries' in these beautiful Lake District surroundings! Hopefully your batteries are now fully charged!! Janet Harrison (Owner) Property Owner

The house is very comfortable and well finished with the kitchen having everything for us to rustle up a roast. Extremely happy to have chosen Lakeside View and we will be back again.

  • "A really nice and peaceful place to stay."

Very comfortable beds and the kitchen was very well equipped. The welcome pack was very thoughtful as we're the information box of the local area. The only down side was the TV reception, not sure if that was our doing. Would love to stay again as it is ideally positioned for our needs.

Thank you very much for your kind comments which I appreciate. I try very hard to make Lakeside View as good as it is possible to be in the hope that guests have a lovely time whilst on holiday.Sorry I can’t do anything about the Lakes weather at times but I’ll certainly do what I can asap for a better tv reception!
