  • "The cottage description and photographs were spot on."

Very clean throughout. Nice touch with the welcome basket of ground coffee, biscuits and prosecco in addition to the milk in the fridge. There definitely needs to be a blind in the ensuite bathroom window, with the light on you feel on full show for every passing vehicle and pedestrian as well as all the neighboring properties, definite negative for me. The person in the other double bedroom has remarked how they could feel the framework through the mattress. The last two points are suggestions to make a very good establishment into an excellent one. The whole party enjoyed their stay there and the countryside that surrounds it.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay, thanks for your feedback, I will look into your concerns for future guests. Property Owner

  • "Dawsons Cottage is a very comfortable cottage and one of the cleanest cottages we have stayed in."

Everything we needed was there; thank you for the lovely welcome pack. Parking space for the second car was easy to find on the roadside. Also highly recommend The Sundial Inn for food, drinks and a warm welcome although it is not open every day. The only thing we would have liked to have changed is the height of the tv as the sofas are quite low and the tv is high on the wall but that’s a personal preference.

Thanks for your great feedback, I’m really glad you managed to visit the Sundial it’s a great local pub. Sorry you found the TV to high! Property Owner

Great location for exploring the area. We found the cottage very clean, comfortable and well equipped, we had everything we needed, including a candle and matches when there was a power cut. Clean and well equipped. We stayed for two nights, well situated for the 3 Peaks. The main bedroom and on suite look new. Beds are comfortable. Nice linen. Pub at bottom of the lane, 5 min drive to next town that has a few pubs with good food,COOP and a couple of takeaways. Nice touches in the house such as hand wash and kitchen roll make the difference when you are only there for two days.

  • "Beautiful clean and highly maintained property."

Our only comment would be about the parking. Although there is an allocated space for the cottage it isn’t large and this means the car sticks out into the road slightly. Also parking on the road is very difficult as spaces are obviously at a premium. This is a comment and NOT a complaint! This in NO WAY affected our enjoyment of the accommodation or our holiday. So thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi Paul, I’m glad you enjoyed your break at the cottage and sorry if you found the parking space a little small for your car, the parking space is located on a private road so glad it didn’t cause you too much of a problem, regards Catherine. Property Owner

Everything was as described. The bed was very comfortable (we only used one) with lovely cotton linen; the shower was hot and powerful, and the white towels were soft and fluffy; the kitchen was well equipped (right down to a tea pot and tea cosy!); Catherine was kind enough to leave us a basket of goodies which were very much appreciated. Not a lot of space outdoors but lovely walks only a couple of minutes away and you do get dedicated parking. There were lovely little touches like lemon drizzle cake and milk and prosecco!!
