    There was everything you wanted, a lot of thought has been put into this property. Some lovely walks from the doorstep and local pubs if you want them. I can recommend the farm shop at nearby Airton and a short scenic walk away. Parking is a bit tight but manageable. Would certainly revisit and recommend to friends.

    Very clean and comfortable and in an idyllic setting. Lots of amazing walks from the door. Excellent local pubs serving food outside. As we were cooking more than usual an extra frying pan and a little more cutlery would have helped. This is a minor point as in most respects very well equipped. Relaxing and plenty of room, shower excellent. Would book this again.

    Heating, hot water and shower system fantastic. Obviously a few things missing due to Covid but easy to manage. Long drive to nearest shop/supermarket so have to bear that in mind. Parking, turning around outside a little awkward but after a week there we had it sorted. Two local pubs really good for food and ale and really up to speed with covid rules. Was plenty to do, was really busy especially at weekends so we dread to think what its like in peak season! Great week, one of our best, we would love to return.

About the location

MALHAM

Settle 7 miles; Skipton 12 miles.

Situated at the head of Malhamdale amidst superb open limestone countryside, the picturesque village of Malham is a magnet for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove. The Cove consists of a natural cavern or 'amphitheatre' of limestone rock stretching 75 metres in height and 300 metres around the perimeter. A steep walk up man-made steps is rewarded with a superb view across moors and limestone pavements to Malham Tarn - the Pennines' highest natural lake. The village itself has pubs and tea rooms and a National Park Centre. Mountain bike hire can be arranged locally. There is excellent walking in all directions, making Malham a great base for a Dales holiday.
