  • "This lovely 300 year old farm cottage had plenty of room for our big party."

(6 adults, one of whom was 91 years old, and 2 dogs) It was clean, had a spacious, well equipped kitchen, an attractive sitting room and very comfortable beds. We were drawn to the cottage not only by the beautiful setting but also by the downstairs bedroom and ensuite. Unfortunately a step to most downstairs rooms made it a little difficult for the disabled member of the group to move around easily. The emergency lighting, highlighting an awkward turn on the landing, was effective, however. The courtyard was uneven and needed attention, as did the meadow which was sadly inaccessible being overgrown and having a stuck gate. A fixed stair gate would have been useful for the staircase inside, as would a gate securing the courtyard ( but we were aware it was an insecure garden ..just fixable we thought). As its an old house, it is difficult to have Wi-Fi throughout. There was a Wi-Fi extender provided but it would be useful to have another in the kitchen. We had a lovely holiday, however, and were very sad to leave.
