    Complete home from home with literally everything you could possibly need. The views are amazing and the hot tub was the perfect end to the day. The lodge was spotless and the beds were very comfortable.

    The view from the hot tub was amazing. Everything you could need on holiday was provided in the lodge and owner was very helpful and responsive. We didn't want to leave, wish we had booked longer!

  • "Fantastic lodge with fantastic views and a really good location hot tub ..."

    Fantastic lodge with fantastic views and a really good location hot tub definitely a bonus, only letdown and it's minor was there was food in the cupboards left over from the previous guest possibly and the bread had gone mouldy, also the bin in the kitchen had not been empty and was full, like I said nothing major just took them down to the bin, which is a short walk away, We would definitely stay again

  • "It would have been advisable regarding the en suite shower to know that it was not working properly and was waiting repair as the ensuite was obviously for disabled use."

    However it was repaired following a phone call when we were told they were waiting for the part. The Lodge was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The site warden was very helpful.

    Thank you for your lovely review, the shower was working it was just a bit stiff , I decided to replace the handle, as we have back to back guests it's difficult when waiting for new parts . I should have said in hind sight . We do have 2 showers and a jacuzzi bath . It's a disabled lodge but we don't advertise it as that as there's a no ramp .     amazing location and the views were unreal! beautifully decorated caravan and so lovely having coffees and sweets left. perfect amenities and lovely clean facilities. Beds were super comfy and very spacious for a caravan we will deffo stay again

  • "This was a perfect holiday for our autistic children who love nature they loved the hot tub the lodge had everything we need and much more everything is provided which was less stress on me!"

    Only disappointment was a burst pipe which spoiled our holiday towards the end

    Thank you for your kind review , the water leak was the whole park and it was the last day of your holiday it was totally out of my control . I did communicate with everyone but as it happened very late a night it was difficult . Glad you liked the lodge The bus stop is right outside the park gates on each side of the road - approx 2 minutes from the gates for other guests information . Thanks again Angie Property Owner

  • "The lodge was excellent, very clean and well appointed."

    The only points of annoyance was the hot tub was not turned on for arrival so had to wait till the next day before is was hot enough to use and who ever was in the lodge before our arrival had left dirty cup and cutlery in the sink which is not a great view. Otherwise is was a very nice lodge.

    Hi - sorry that was me the owner , I had a cuppa before I left The hot tub is never hot until late as it's always cleaned and emptied there is a note on Sykes to say that . I am glad you enjoyed your stay thank you for the review Angie Property Owner

The property

Plot 32 is nestled into the attractive, rural village of Armathwaite, and is perfect for families seeking to explore the surroundings of the Lake District National Park.

Upon entry, you will find a private decking with outdoor seating and a hot tub that is beautifully placed to overlook the stunning countryside views while relaxing with a glass of your favourite drink.

Step through the patio door and into the open-plan kitchen and living space, where a dining table that seats four awaits family bonding over a favourite comfort meal.

There are two spacious bedrooms to choose from – one king-size with an en-suite shower and dressing table, and a double bed with plenty of wardrobe space for the over-packers of your family!

Unwind with a soak in the whirlpool bath to refresh from the day’s adventures; this bathroom is accessible-friendly with aids alongside the WC.

After your bath, sink into the sofa and unwind while watching the Smart TV with the warmth of the electrical fire.

Outside, the walking and cycling routes are endless, with the town’s heritage right at your doorstep.

Ancient ruins of Long Meg and Her Daughters are well worth a visit, with stones dating around 1,500 BC; be sure to stay for sunset over the stones amidst this peaceful, rural setting.

Nearby you will find Lacy’s Caves, situated by the river which is an exciting place to walk around and explore.

The Lake District National Park is within driving distance and a plethora of views, mountain hikes, and activities await; Aira Force Waterfall is a perfect place to sit back and relax with a picnic in-between your hike.

Explore The tranquil waters of the lake up-close with a ferry ride around Ullswater Lake, or better still use it to cool down after a day of hiking; you may be lucky to spot some of the endless wildlife that habits around The Lake District.

Plenty of bays to paddle, swim, and explore are nearby; the scenic views and water activities are endless.

Plot 32 awaits memories that will last a lifetime.

ARMATHWAITE

Carlisle 10.2 miles; Penrith 11 miles; North Pennines AONB 11.3 miles.

The attractive, unspoilt rural village of Armathwaite is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley and the lovely coastline of the Solway Firth. The village has two old pubs, both with popular restaurants serving excellent food, a village Post Office and a traditional village shop. The River Eden runs through the centre of the village, and the area is renowned for its excellent salmon fishing, plus walking, canoeing and climbing. Armathwaite Castle, by the river, is a four-storey Pele Tower, and the 15th-century church has fine examples of stained glass windows. The Eden Gorge, between Lazonby and Armathwaite, is one of Cumbria's best-kept secrets, and is well worth exploring. The local railway station is a stop on the Settle-to-Carlisle Railway, which is one of the most beautiful railway journeys in Britain, and where today many old steam trains still wend their way through some of the finest countryside in Britain. The Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith is the "largest grass covered building in the country" or you might like to visit Dalemain Historic House, featured in a television production of Jane Eyre. The town is within reach of the Lake District National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing guests with many mountain biking, hiking, and birdwatching opportunities.

One small, well-behaved dog allowed; please enquire first if you wish to take any other type of pet. Plots 21 (1150253) plot 32 (1154008) & plot 41 (1163987) can all be booked together to accommodate 12 adults and 2 children.
