  • "We enjoyed our stay."

The lodge/caravan had everything we needed. The site was much bigger than we had expected but was quiet at this particular time. Great sunsets.

The owner Tom was amazing and had great communication skills. He made sure we were OK. The Lodge was gorgeous, really clean and very spacious. It was in an excellent location of the park for us, as we like quiet. We will be booking again for next year and highly recommend this lodge. It's amazing. Thank you our holiday was amazing.

  • "The caravan is beautiful, spacious & well equipped on a huge Parkdean site."

It is located in a quieter area with a sea view. The only disappointment was we couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work. There is a router but the password doesn’t work. Having Wi-Fi access was one of our priority requirements because of our needs so its not acceptable that we could only use the site Wi-Fi which was a very poor signal and only worked on phones not iPads.

Hi, sorry to hear this. Yes I totally agree. Wi-Fi nowadays is definitely a necessity. I’m not sure why this may have happened. I have not been informed until yourself. I will definitely look into this to see what the issue is. Property Owner

Never been to morecambe before and we will definitely be returning, there is plenty to do in the local area, half moon bay is a must. We would highly recommend this lodge to all, we didn’t want to leave, it was so good. Thank you for such a lovely holiday and we hope to come back soon x

Absolutely lovely to read your message. Yes Morecambe is an up-and-coming location, especially with the Eden Project being built. I can only see it getting better. I’ve never been to the Half Moon Bay. I will be trying that myself. Hope you had a safe journey back. thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "Would be helpful to have a manual available to give WiFi details, how to put on central heating, gas hob, microwave."

There was no fob for the barrier at the entrance to the park just always had to speak over the intercom. No name of Olivia’s retreat on the cabin just the number LH 14. A folder of paperwork had been left on top of the boiler and was not easy to spot and was also a potential fire hazard. The door handle to the bathroom was not loose and not working properly. Apart from that it is a very good and comfortable place to stay,

Hi thanks for the feedback all is taken onboard. I do take things in and try to rectify if needed. In the welcome pack that everyone receives 24 hours upon arrival. Most of the information is in there. Apologies if you never received it I will endeavour to find out if one was sent to yourself. The paper work, not sure why it has been left on there but I will speak to the person that carried out the risk assessment. This is something I will need to amend in the welcome pack. Due to the lodge having a bathroom with a full size bath there needs to be some sort of safety in place. The easy solution was to turn the door handle around. Kids grab things and pull down. They would not think to push up. I will have the maintenance man take a look at it. Apart from this I am glad you had a lovely time and I hope the videos I sent of how to work the boiler and WiFi helped yourself. Thank you, once again for feedback. This does help others. We could not fault a thing. Decor was fantastic and was spotless. Location was also good situated in a quieter area which was perfect for us. Good communication from the owner and he was more than happy to answer our questions. Would highly recommend this accommodation, and very dog friendly for our 2 pugs who loved the beach ⛱️ and Seaview.

  • "The holiday home was lovely, everything you needed for the holiday was provided."

There were 2 things that needed attention, the slats under both single beds were not in place and came loose during the night when in bed . We had to attend to them late in the night. I don’t think they must have been checked before hand , one of us could have been hurt . Also the bathroom door handle needs attention it is sticking and could easily break when trying to open it. Otherwise we had a lovely holiday. Thanks.

Hi. I do apologise, I was not aware there were slats missing for the bed. I would not of thought to check that to be honest. On the bathroom. You need to lift the handle up instead of down. It’s a safety thing for kids due to having a full size bath. Thank you for the feedback. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful lodge with gorgeous views of the sea."

Very clean, comfortable spacious and had everything you need I.e towels, tea towels, dog bowls, utensils, toilet rolls, washing up liquid etc. The lodge was about 10 minute walk from reception (activities, entertainment) which was just a nice distance for nice stroll getting those steps in. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The site itself is clean with plenty of space for kids to play and dogs to walk. Highly recommend.

Hi, thank you for your feedback, it’s fantastic to read that you enjoy your time. Safe journey home. Property Owner

WiFi was very hit and miss and the prices for the entertainment passes in the welcome pack need updating. But they didn’t detract from a great mini break.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. Any feedback is gratefully appreciated. I do apologise if the entertainment passes has been changed. I will need to look into that and updated. When it comes to the Wi-Fi, I hope you tried to use the Wi-Fi that was installed in the caravan, it is better. we are very restricted when it comes to Internet speed but I can assure you it is definitely the best we can get due location. The location of the lodge is around a 5 to 10 minute stroll down to the complex amenities and was a perfect location. • "We really enjoyed our short last minute break away and thank you for accepting our booking at such short notice."

It was a great base to stay and explore the local area and Lake District. The accommodation was great, really comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The only feedback I think I would say is that you need curtains in both bedrooms as the blinds are not sufficient as the light shines through from the street lamp outside. We hung towels up the second night and it was a lot better. Overall we had a great short break at Olivia's retreat and would definitely book again.

Good morning. Thanks thanks very much for the review. It is gratefully appreciated. Our lodge is currently getting updated and unfortunately the curtains are on a backlog. Fingers crossed in the future. If you book again, you will find that there will be curtains. ☺️ Property Owner
