"A perfect holiday cottage with a view and small boat access of Lake Windermere."
The cottage was clean and well equipped for a stress free holiday. Bus stop was close by with service into Bowness or Ambleside. A little outside space facing the lake was a perfect spot to relax in the sunshine with a glass of wine after a walk in the fells.

"Lovely stay in a great location to enjoy the lakes."
The property is one of three joined chalet style buildings, with multiple others around the large green lawn . It never felt busy or crowded and plenty of parking.
Highlight was the walk to Windermere down a private path to a jetty where you could just sit, launch paddle boards, swim or as I did, fish. A perfect way to end a long day of exploring.
Property was well furnished, with everything you'd need, wifi was fast, a bit more storage space in the kitchen would have helped a little for self catering but not a big issue. On arrival there was a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, although a pint of milk would have helped us out more tbh.
You can walk to Windermere high street in about 10-15 mins, it is uphill though on the way but you are in the lakes so to be expected. Driving takes you easily to some of the most beautiful nearby villages. We went to Ambleside, Bourton, Conniston and Grasmere. For us Grasmere was our favourite, a beautiful quiet lake in stunning surrounds and home to Wordsworth, and you can see why he was so inspired.
So in summary, great owner who sent a very comprehensive welcome pack and property is as described and a perfect base. We've already recommended to friends and would stay here again for sure. We loved the lakes and will be back soon.

"This is a lovely little cottage in a great location."
Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay as much as we had expected. Upon entering the property there was a a general smell of damp. This was much worse in the bedrooms especially the small room which we didn’t use due to the smell. Despite using many sprays and keeping the windows and door open as much as possible, the smell was still prevalent. The wardrobe was in the small room so to avoid our clothes getting the smell in them we kept them in the suitcase in the living area.
There was a wasps nest outside the kitchen window which made eating outside difficult. We contacted the owners who were going to get someone to deal with the wasps. They were still around when we left yesterday, but hopefully this will ease after treatment.
If it weren’t for the smell and discomfort of the damp, this would have been brilliant. It’s a lovely cottage in a peaceful location with birds singing. On the grass outside in the evenings there was a rabbit and sometimes a squirrel. Walking up the drive one morning, a fawn jumped out and ran across in front of us and we saw a deer in the field below.
We are glad you enjoyed the birds and location. We are taking steps to prevent further wasps with a local expert and to rectify the damp smell

"We enjoyed our stay in the Lake District."
T'whit T'woo is a lovely bungalow with a fantastic view of Lake Windermere, which impressed us every time we drove down the hill towards our parking space! The location is perfect for visiting all of the attractions and places we wanted to experience: steam trains, cruise boats and surrounding towns and scenery all impressed us. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

"We had a lovely week at T'whit T'woo."
The bungalow is well situated and has practically everything you need. We did struggle to find space in the kitchen cupboards for food though and ended up storing stuff on the worktops. The walk to the jetty and the jetty itself is lovely with amazing views of Lake Windermere. Hardly any beach area though which was disappointing as we would've liked to walk along a bit. The bedrooms both had a whiff of damp, especially the smaller room. We ensured windows were opened while we were in. It was cold while we were there so used the heating at times which soon warmed up the bungalow. Perfectly placed to reach so many places such as Bowness, Windermere Town, Ambleside etc.
Thanks for your feedback. We did have a little wheelie trolley in the kitchen that could be used for food storage but l got rid of it because l was concerned that it was a trip hazard. Yes it is a small property.
I think the back of the property does need ventilation as it is a bungalow and faces the embankment. We try to leave the window open a little to let air flow.
Lake access is definitely at a premium these days. l enjoy open water swimming and knowing the lake well there is no long walk possible at the waters edge. Millerground and the public jetty further down Rayrigg road offer a bit more but can be busy. Thanks again for your thoughtful review.

"Had a lovely stay in a well appointed cottage T'whit T'woo."
Cosy with all mod cons and great water pressure (better than my own house). Chose this one down to location and having a car parking space, as well as being central for our preferred locations.
Only recommendations, we would have is to have a welcome pint of milk rather than the Proseco, but other than that both my wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely, plus we had 4 full days of sunshine!
Thank you for your feedback, we now supply milk sachets for your cup of coffee or tea on arrival.

"MICE!!!"
! The owner stuck to a £300 refund which didn’t cover the 3 nights we vacated the property. Due to this we paid for a whole spent chasing mice, packing our cases and looking for alternative accommodation. Sykes referred us to the owner to resolve. The owner advised he didn’t want to be out of pocket but we were left as such having to pay more than £300 more for last minute alternative accommodation!!!!. This is aside from all of the other issues raised with Sykes no hot water to the bathroom sink, which the owner notified us about on route!!! I couldn’t use the shower due to surgery and being in a leg caste!!! building works outside to the right of the front door and an undisclosed steep incline to property, not in any of the photos, caused real difficulty for me on crutches in a caste. Yes it’s lovely, just hope you don’t have mice or any other issues!!
Thank you for your feedback.
We have caught the mouse and undertaken a deep clean . The problem is now resolved.
The water heater is replaced and there is hot water in the bathroom.
Next door have fully completed their ground works.
We were not made aware of your leg in a cast in advance of your visit however we recently had a guest to stay who suffers from multiple sclerosis and is wheel chair bound. She accessed the property using the level path in front of the row of cottages with no issues The slope can be avoided if required.
