  • ""The Lodge" was, if anything, even nicer than its description."

Beautifully fitted-out and equipped, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Very quiet. Access to the grounds of the Hall made for pleasant strolls . All-in-all an absolutely delightful spot.

  • "The directions that get emailed take you past the property through the security gates up to the main wyreside hall and cottages, when in actual fact the cottage is not by the main hall it's before you get to the main gates."

One quick phone call and all was sorted out. The property itself is fantastic with excellent kitchen and utensils. Brilliant private garden and nicely off the beaten track but so easy to get to the local attractions. 10/10. Would definitely return.

Thank you, for you comments. Sykes have updated the joining instructions. Wyreside Cottages Property Owner

  • "The instructions for locating the lodge house were incorrect and I have informed Sykes (you don’t go through any gates up to the main house, this instruction is for 3 separate cottages)."

However, thanks to quick communications with staff at the main hall the lodge house was easily located. The lodge house is spectacular both inside and out, and the kitchen is very well equipped. Internet/TV signal can be temperamental (as warned) but in no way did this spoil our stay.
