  • "We had a lovely week in Ambleside lodge."

It has fantastic views & there are great walks straight from the door. It’s in a great position for visiting the surrounding area but far enough away from the crowded areas of the lakes. We would definitely recommend it & will book again when we’re next up in the Lakes area.

  • "Our stay at Limefitt Park was everything we wanted."

The park was small, clean and well maintained and the location was superb. Troutbeck is between Windermere and Ambleside, so we were centrally located which puts you right in the heart of the Lake District. The lodge was very comfortable and provided absolutely everything you could want when on holiday. We would definitely return and would recommend it to others for sure.

The lovely touch on arrival of wine and chocolate. The lodge was cosy and very clean and milk and fresh orange juice was there when we arrived. I would also like to mention everything was catered for from coffee and condiments which you can easily forget shows they had thought of everything. The view from the lodge is amazing.

The lodge Is situated at the back of park in a private location with no traffic passing by. Although the weather was terrible we were cosy. Everything you could possibly need. Just a couple of points - vacuum smelt like sick, we bought new bags and air freshener for hoover, still smelt, the rug in the lounge would benefit from a shampoo too and the outside light didn’t work up to front door which reading comments in guest book had been case for a while - although there was a torch provided. They are just really picky points, the lodge is beautiful we will hopefully be back in the summer. Thank to Syma you have a lovely lodge

The lodge is excellently maintained with everything you need whilst in holiday. The owners are very helpful and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed. The lodge is clean and tidy with plenty of space for storage, sleeping and relaxing. We were a family of 6 (4 adults, 2 children snd 2 dogs). There is a large outdoor area for sitting and eating and 2 car parking spaces (extra available at reception). The location is good with plenty of walks from the site and also within easy reach of Windermere, Bowness, Keswick etc. would highly recommend staying at Ambleside Lodge. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to the owners.

The decking area is clean & safe as it is composite and we spent many nights out there and it is also extremely good for the 4 legged friend as the decking area is securely gated.
