  • "We stayed here on the 11th October till the 13th we had our grandson with us he loved it."

  • "I booked this lodge at quite short notice so I got it for a reduced price, under £600, rather than over £800, and ordinarily I wouldn't have been able to afford it."

It is a smart clean well-furnished lodge, beautiful kitchen and bathroom areas and a big L shaped sofa which was very comfortable. The double bedroom was also very comfortable but as is often the case in self catering accommodation, the single beds mattresses had definitely seen better days. I usually go on holiday with my sister so one of us has to use a single bed and they are invariably lumpen and saggy and this was no exception. We had a really relaxing stay - despite the size of the White Cross Bay site and the proximity to other lodges the lodge still felt very private. The site was quiet while we were there - perhaps in the height of the season it might be noisy. I didn 't really like the White Cross Bay site, the people staying on the site didn't seem to be mountain walkers or outdoorsy people, and there were quite a few random people wandering about who didn't look like holiday makers or maintenance. But the lodge was lovely. My only real gripe was the lack of any usable wifi - it was impossible to use the 'smart' tv as a smart tv, so no access to any streaming channels and there was no DVD player. Also, the decking areas need a bit of TLC. I would stay in this lodge again if it were on Burnside Park or Limefitt Park which both belong to the same company, I wouldn't personally stay on the White Cross Bay site again, but I would recommend the lodge.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We take all comments on board. Parkdean are a seperate company to Lake District Lodge Holidays but we take your feedback on board. The wifi is provided by Parkdean and complimentary, and therefore out of our control. On arrival property was spotless with a welcome feel however a nice extra touch would be a welcome pack to allow a cuppa whilst awaiting shop delivery. The site itself could do with a spruce up and amenities limited..all in all had a good time and would recommend the property.

  • "A lovely little lodge, great space, very clean and cute little quirky decoration touches that made it feel homely."

Well stocked kitchen and the shower was lovely. The WiFi was very patchy and didn’t really work at all even just for browsing. They have a lovely smart tv, but you can’t access any of the apps (eg Netflix) because there isn’t good enough wifi. That was the only draw back for us. The lodge itself was beautiful.

  • "Beautiful property, well kept, fully equipped, clean and comfortable."

Home from home. The complex is lovely, very quiet and private. We had a brilliant time, central to all places and on a bus route which was great. We would definitely book again.

  • "Must admit, the accommodation was way better than we were expecting, very clean with good quality kitchen items, shower room was lovely also."

The Park was very quiet and well maintained with the added bonus of it's own marina. Only criticism would be that the interior is ready for a lick of paint but I'm sure the owners know that and are just waiting for a gap in bookings to get that done.

Very clean and tidy. It is near the end of season and there are a few things that need-attending too but they did not affect our stay. Would stay again.

Informed that it must have entered the property when we did. With two adults and two young children running about there’s no way a mouse would have entered the property with us.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of the issue that you experienced with the mouse.  We would like to add that we attended the property to assist but found that there was no evidence of the mouse.  Property Owner
