  • "We have stayed in many lodges on the park over recent years and this lodge was better than the rest, even without the normally mandatory "hot tub"."

Spacious, clean and well thought out! A nice, quiet part of the estate but only a 3 min walk to the main reception.

  • "It was a beautiful log cabin ,the decking needed TLC needed varnishing and sweeping plants pots need tidying patio table and barbecue needed cleaning and covering kept on till use."

The hot water was a pain had to wait to heat up kept go cold while in shower had to boil kettle to wash up not good I could not find any trays for oven use such as fish and chips .I would stay there again and recommend

Thank you for letting us know of your lodge experience. We note all you say and whilst we apologise that you had a few niggles during your stay we are pleased that you would return and recommend to others. Noting you had trouble using the hot water, we do advise guests to run the tap for about 5 minutes for the hot water to come through. It is a quirk of the lodge and to help guests we have put a note in the lodge to advise. We are checking the lodge today for any missing oven trays and shall replace if necessary. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. The BBQ whilst there for guests use, we would expect guests to clean it after using it. We are sorry if that was not the case. We have advised the owners to consider removing from lodge to avoid this happening in future. Your further comments, we shall follow these up and advise the owners accordingly. Thank you again for your review and we do hope that you otherwise had a great stay. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay in the lodge, we have been coming to White cross bay for over 10 years now and stayed in many different lodges but this one was probably the best."

We loved the spacious feel in the lodge particularly the bedrooms. The privacy of the decking seating area was lovely too, given we were there for the hottest week we really enjoyed that. The lodge was very clean abs felt ‘new’. We did notice the water took its time to heat up but it was ok given how hot the weather was! Thanks for a lovely holiday where we made some amazing memories- would definitely recommend.

  • "We loved the lodge it was lovely and clean and very spacious BUT the hot water ..."

We loved the lodge it was lovely and clean and very spacious BUT the hot water was terrible, you had to run the shower and taps for ages to get any hot water then it was a rush to wash your hair and yourself in 30 seconds before it went ice cold, we tried a bath and only got less than an inch of hot water this was for the full week, if this was addressed then perfect lodge , perfect area and lovely camp

Thank you for the review, Mrs Adamson. We are sorry to hear you had trouble with the hot water. The owner has contacted us since your stay to advise that the taps need to be left running for about 5 minutes for the hot water to come through. We are sorry that this was not communicated to you sooner. Had you let us know at the time we would have resolved this for you. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. As a result of your experience the owner has decided to put a note in the lodge to advise future guests. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are delighted to hear that you otherwise loved the lodge and location. Lady Landless is new to our portfolio and is a great addition. This three bedroom holiday lodge offers superb accommodation for the whole family, perfect for a relaxing break in the Lakes. We do hope we welcome you again soon. Property Owner
