  • “Lovely cottage, really well appointed, spotlessly clean.”

Quiet location but just round the corner from Windermere centre with good variety of shops and places to eat.

The property

Resting in a desirable location within the vibrant town of Windermere, reached down a private drive with just four cottages is this contemporary, mid-terrace cottage, providing a well situated base for a family trip to the Lake District National Park.

6 Knotts View has been lovingly restored by the owners, providing character with functionality throughout, serving as an excellent base for your Lakeland adventures.

Look forward to settling down in the sitting room, complete with a sumptuous settee, two armchairs and an alluring open fire, creating a cosy ambiance to the room, plus a large wall-mounted Smart TV so you can continue your favourite shows while away.

Show off your cooking skills and take advantage of the superb kitchen; here you can take advantage of a large ranger cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer to help prepare some tasty meals, while the Belfast sink and dishwasher provides adequate washing facilities.

The design of the kitchen is also worth mentioning, with sleek grey units, a white brick splash back and flagstone flooring all combining to form a modern setup for home-cooking.

From the kitchen, take the stairs down to the basement, a wonderful space to entertain with bean bags and barrels, 65 inch Smart TV, plus a quirky Pac-Man arcade machine to have fun with.

As the evening draws to a close, there are two wonderful bedrooms to choose from, including a king-size with en-suite shower and dressing room, and a twin, both elegantly finished with crisp white bed linen and soft carpets.

There is also a gleaming bathroom where you can enjoy lazy soaks or refreshing rinses to prepare for the day.

Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee from the shared courtyard, before strolling to a nearby convenience store to source some fresh orange juice and the ingredients for a hearty breakfast.

If you’d rather not cook, Windermere is filled with superb eateries ranging from fine dining restaurants to friendly pubs, as well as boasting several cafés and ice cream shops.

The town is home to the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, a must-visit for any literary lover, as well as the glistening waters of Lake Windermere, ideal for lake cruises, watersports, fishing and peaceful walking trails.

Venture out to Wray Castle, renowned for its magnificent Gothic Revival Castle, climb Loughrigg Fell and explore Rydal Cave, or make your way through Grizedale Forest, packed with excellent cycling trails.
