“This is the second time we have stayed in Troutbeck Retreat.”

The first visit was before Covid and we had major problems from the boiler failing and noted several things that were broken, not working, missing. We assumed that by the time we returned on this visit that at least some of the issues highlighted previously would have been addressed. To our dismay NOTHING as been addressed and we still had to reset the boiler EVERY DAY of our stay. Despite this, we were contemplating on returning next year but shockingly the price to stay next year in the same lodge has doubled in price. Therefore, we have booked a much bigger and better maintained lodge for less than the price of this one.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear you continued to have problems with the boiler. This has been passed to our maintenance team who will look into this further. Had you contacted us during your stay, we would have sent a member of our team down to look into the issues for you. We are sorry you feel you could not do this. We do hope you will return to us and maybe visit one of the other lodges on our portfolio. - Sykes owner relations
