With room for families or groups of friends, plus the dog, it’s a place built for memorable get-togethers, long evenings by the fire and the odd well-earned soak in the hot tub.

Inside, the kitchen/diner is geared up for proper holiday feasts, with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and all the essentials for putting together anything from hearty breakfasts to slow, chatty suppers.

There’s a separate dining room for sit-down meals, while the sitting room offers an inviting spot to unwind beside the woodburning stove, with a Smart TV on hand for quieter evenings.

The house features four comfortable bedrooms: a super-king-size for those who like a bit of extra space, two king-size rooms, and a twin, ideal for children, friends or anyone who prefers their own bed.

Two bathrooms serve the property, one with a freestanding tub and the other with a standard bath, both fitted with showers, basins and WCs.

A cloakroom on the ground floor keeps things hassle-free during the morning rush.

Step outside and you’ll find an enclosed patio area that’s made for relaxing after a day of walking, sailing or sightseeing.

The hot tub is the star of the show, but there’s also private parking and WiFi to keep everything easy and connected.

Wander into Bowness-on-Windermere to browse independent shops, enjoy lakeside strolls or visit the World of Beatrix Potter, always a hit with families.

Scenic boat trips run from the pier, while watersports and lake cruises are easily arranged.

Head over to Ambleside for hiking routes and cosy cafés, or make your way to Kendal, known for its castle ruins, museums and lively arts scene.

Whether you’re planning a relaxed break or an active escape, North Cottage delivers comfort, character and a front-row seat to some of Cumbria’s finest scenery.
