The property

Lakes View is an impressive house resting the village of Portinscale, in Keswick, Cumbria, surrounded by rural views and offering generous interiors, a spacious garden, and private driveway parking for 3 cars.

Step inside and discover a light-filled kitchen/diner, where you can prepare meals using fresh local produce before gathering around the dining table to savour them while talking through the day’s adventures.

A separate sitting room provides another inviting space, its gas fire adding warmth as you unwind with a film or enjoy an evening drink, while the first-floor snug offers a quieter corner for reading or planning the next outing.

Across the home’s two floors are four beautifully arranged bedrooms, each finished with thoughtful touches.

The ground-floor double, complete with its own en-suite walk-in shower room, is a particularly useful option for those seeking easy access.

Upstairs, a further double with en-suite, along with two additional doubles, provides ample room for families or groups.

A striking bathroom with freestanding bath and walk-in shower adds an indulgent touch, while a cloakroom and utility space help keep practicalities simple.

Outside, the raised rural setting adds to the sense of escape, with the garden featuring a lawn, patio, and furniture for outdoor dining or slowing down with a morning coffee.

With one pet welcome, four-legged companions can join your Lake District adventures, and a handy dog shower in the boot room means muddy walks pose no problem. Keswick offers an abundance of countryside trails, cafés, and independent shops to explore, while nearby Derwentwater promises scenic cruises and waterside strolls.

Head to Grasmere to visit galleries and sample its famous gingerbread, or explore Ambleside with its vibrant high street and lakeside paths.

For wider exploration, Windermere’s attractions and viewpoints lie within reach too. All of this makes Lakes View a superb base for discovering the Lake District national park.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £500.
