  • "The bungalow was very nice."

It is a good size and has been nicely refurbished. The lounge sofas are quite low and some a little uncomfortable. The bungalow has all equipment required and the TV was modern and good quality. The location is superb with local pubs and close to main road links. The drive is quite steep and on arrival the tatty garage was quite off putting, the outside areas ( not the garden) could do with some TLC. Dogs cannot use the garden without a lead as not secure. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however on opening the cutlery drawer it was apparent it had not been cleaned in some time, same with other cupboards. I have rated 4 stars as these little things let down a great bungalow.

Thanks for your feedback.I am aware that the garage and carport require improvent They are scheduled for renewal/ renovation in the near future. Apologies for the less than spotless cutlery drawer and other cupboards. The cleaning company have promised to rectify this. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation is in a lovely location with a fabulous pub literally round the corner serving fantastic food."

The accommodation itself is very spacious and provides everything you need for your stay. Their is a lovely garden where you can see some wildlife. The property itself is good being all on one level especially the walk in shower perfect for anyone with mobility issues. All the rooms are of a good size including a well equipped kitchen. The only negatives were the accommodation does smell of dogs especially in the lounge and back bedroom. The other issue is disposal of your rubbish the bin outside was overflowing with previous guests rubbish. All rubbish is supposed to be bagged up in certain coloured bags and left in a certain place on a Friday morning, we couldn't find any bags,a neighbour across told us they were locked in a storage box outside which had two padlocks on so we could not access them anyway as we didn't have the combination number. We ended up bagging our rubbish up and placing it by the kitchen bin, the cleaners arrived as we were leaving so we passed the above information on,the refuge situation does need sorting out.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you had a problem with the bins and dog smell. I have asked the cleaner to ensure that a blue council bag is placed in the outside dustbin so that full bags from the kitchen bin can be put into that. I have also mentioned the issue of dog smells to the cleaning company. Hopefully they can rectify the problem. In the information folder in the property, I have stated that dogs should not be allowed on the beds and sofas which should reduce the issue of dog smells. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely stay at this property."

Beautiful location and plenty of space. Definitely would book again if we visit the area again. There are 2 pubs next to the property which we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to visit as they’re so busy. If you want to go for a meal in either pub we were recommended to book in advance. Also be aware there’s no local shop so you’ll need to go to Penrith for a supermarket so come prepared. We loved the remote location though and really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your positive feedback. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback, I'm really pleased you enjoyed yourselves. It's great that you would like to stay again. Don't worry about the milk, I'm sure the cleaners will have sorted it. Property Owner

  • "An extremely spacious and well equipped property."

We loved the slow cooker and air fryer in the kitchen. Everything was very clean and worked. Some of the furniture, although attractive was rather uncomfortable. However, we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay. I'm sorry you found some of the furniture uncomfortable Property Owner

  • "Clearly a lot of work to renew it-well done!"

We have a property too so only offering suggestions: Would be good to have proper hand towels in the toilets The cutlery feels very cheap and may brake soon A baking tray and oven dish would be really helpful clearer instructions about the bins may be helpful A little bit of tidying up outside the front door would make it look much better too.

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate your suggestions and have taken them on board. Regarding the baking trays, they are located in the warming drawer under the oven and ove dishes are in the cupboards next to the cooker. I will ensure to add the information to the welcome pack. Regarding the hand towels, I have supplied a dozen and I will instruct the cleaner to ensure they are available in the bathrooms. I will also try and source some better cutlery and replace it asap. I have also arranged for the area around the front door to be cleaned up, hopefully sometime this week. Thanks again for your suggestions. Property Owner
