The property

Havelock Hideaway sits in the vibrant centre of Windermere, offering a warm and welcoming base for families or friends eager to experience the beauty of the Lake District.

Its location makes holidaying wonderfully simple; cafés, pubs, bakeries, and shops are just moments away, while the shores of Lake Windermere lie within an easy stroll, opening the door to some of Cumbria’s most iconic scenery.

As you enter, the hallway gives you space to drop boots, hang coats, and settle in before heading through to the heart of the home.

The open-plan living area has been designed for spending time together, cooking, chatting, and enjoying slow mornings or relaxed evenings after exploring the fells.

The kitchen includes everything needed for family meals, the dining table brings everyone together, and the lounge area provides a welcoming spot to gather around the TV.

Upstairs, you’ll find two thoughtfully arranged bedrooms: a king-size room offering a peaceful place to stretch out at the end of the day, and a cheerful bunk room ideal for children or friends travelling together.

A sleek, modern bathroom serves both rooms.

Families are also well catered for with a travel cot and highchair already provided, and gas central heating keeps the whole house pleasantly warm whatever the weather outside.

Windermere and Bowness offer a wonderful mix of attractions, boat trips on England’s largest lake, lakeside walks, waterside cafés, and the chance to visit The World of Beatrix Potter.

Ambleside brings independent shops, traditional pubs, the atmospheric ruins of Ambleside Roman Fort, and the cascading Stock Ghyll Force waterfall.

Further along, Kendal invites you to discover its castle ruins, riverside paths, art galleries, and local food scene.

Beyond the towns, the Lake District National Park reveals a world of dramatic peaks, serene tarns, scenic cycling routes, and walking trails to suit every level, from gentle lakeside wanders to bucket-list climbs like Orrest Head, Loughrigg Fell, and the Langdale Pikes.

Havelock Hideaway offers comfort, convenience, and a brilliant base for dipping into everything that makes the Lake District unforgettable.
