    Barley is a pleasant place but it is a shame that there is no shop in a village with 2 pubs! We were also very lucky with the weather.

  • "Such a lovely cottage."

    Perfect position within the village. The owners are very attentive. There is a little courtyard to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings whilst soaking up some sunshine. This was our second time here and will definitely be back again. It’s delightful.

  • "The cottage is so homely and cozy."

    Everything has been thought of here. Well maintained, kitchen has everything you need, if your intention is to cook everyday. There are two lovely pubs in the village. A very nice cafe. Very friendly. The surrounding hills, dales, are gorgeous and there are plenty of walks for all. We will definitely be back.

  • "The cottage is very nice and really well equipped."

    The owner was lovely and very helpful. We only stayed a few days, but would stay here again if in the area. Next time I’ll bring a double duvet for the single bed.

  • "Lovely cottage in pretty village well situated to explore the Forest of Bowland."

  • "We loved Beckside."

    It was very clean and warm, ideally situated in the village. The owner was lovely, she was there if we had questions but she didn’t intrude. On a wet and cool October half term it was lovely to have a woodburner, there was lots of wood provided, and very clear instructions on how to use it if you’re new to wood burners. We will return again. Thank you so much.

  • "Lovely cottage with everything you would need, great walks from the doorstep and 2 lovely pubs literally around the corner."

    Helpful hosts, plenty of instructions, quick to reply to messages and even made the fire ready for us just to throw in a match and enjoy. Would definitely recommend and we will be back !!

  • "This cottage was fantastic - as well as everything you could possibly need there were lovely little extras left to enhance our stay."

    We had one of our dogs with us and the only tiny point (and in no way would it stop us staying there again) is that there is no private garden with the property. The cottage was wonderfully comfortable and beautifully finished. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners either. There are lovely walks and two fabulous pubs within waving distance. I could not give this stay anything other than 5 stars.

The cottage features two bedrooms for a peaceful night's rest, including a double bedroom with a TV and a single bedroom.
