  • "The cottage was really fabulous, set in an idyllic peaceful setting away from the road."

    From the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom everything was perfect, well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need, lovely comfortable bed and a cracking shower we had the best week. It’s an ideal base for exploring, Gargrave, Skipton, Kirkby Stephen, we also did the train ride from Settle to Carlisle which is amazing with beautiful scenery and breathtaking views. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The welcoming basket was a lovely touch as were the fresh flowers. Lisa and Brian were fantastic hosts and were only a phone call away if needed. Perfect

  • "Property is very clean comfortable and the log burner is one of the most efficient we have come across."

    The facilities are very good all equipment required for two people are there. We had a very nice holiday despite the weather( cold and wet), but manageable.

    The what three words coordinates made it very easy to find. Ideally located for Skipton and surrounding area. Lovely hosts and a beautiful property. We stayed for a week, but there is still so much we didn’t get to explore in the local area. We hope to be able to return and carry on exploring!

  • "Our recent stay was perfect."

    Lisa & Brian have created a peaceful & luxourious haven. Everything has been thought of, even our mountain bikes had 5 star accommodation! The Masons Arms in the village had a warm atmosphere & served delicious food. We were also able to buy local produce from Robertshaws Farm shop, to enjoy back in the comfort of Croft Cottage. We've already booked to stay again in the Spring as we enjoyed our stay so much.

  • "A beautifully appointed cottage in an idyllic location - set in a lovely rural location with easy access to Gargrave which has two good pubs and a Coop."

    The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable (with both a bath and a large walk in shower - bliss), perfect for a relaxing stay. Situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, it is ideal for exploring places like Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Hebden, Ribblehead and many others. We had a wonderful holiday. We’ll definitely be back!

  • "A real gem of a cottage."

    Lovely location out in the countryside but within 3 minutes drive/15 minutes walk of village shops & pubs. Spacious inside, with a comprehensive inventory and a nice welcome pack. Owners are very friendly but unobtrusive. We have stayed in nearly 80 cottages over the years…definitely in our top 5

  • "Wow, what a holiday cottage."

    It was situated in a quiet location away from the village, but only a short walk to the village. The view from the patio was lovely, with only green fields in it. Lisa and Brian were 2 lovely people. The cottage inside was immaculate, clean and well presented. The welcome basket was very thoughtful. We went for a bit of R & R, and were sad to leave, as we were only just getting started when it was time to go home. We will be going back, but this time for a longer stay. Many thanks to Lisa and Brian.

  • "Friendly owner and warm welcome."

    Cottage was immaculate, with excellent facilities and finished to a high standard. Lovely views of the surrounding countryside with a great private patio area to sit out. Pleasant walk from the cottage into Gargrave along part of the Pennine Way, with gorgeous views. Gargrave is a lovely town, has 2 good pubs and is a great base for exploring the Dales and surrounding area. Croft Cottage was a fantastic place to stay.

  • "The best cottage we've ever stayed in."

    Everything was provided and fresh flowers and a welcome basket was much appreciated. The hosts were really helpful with info etc that we needed. It was peaceful and wonderful to see the wildlife and also the sheep with their lambs.

    If you like peace and quiet, wildlife and scenery, lovely walks and cosy evenings by the log burner this is for you. The setting can only get better and better as the landscaping matures. The best romantic property for a couple we have found for sure.

A pretty village on the banks of the River Aire, around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat including a fantastic Indian restaurant, along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Traversed by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, cycle route 68 and the Pennine Way, Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Four miles away is the ancient market town of Skipton — “The Gateway to the Dales” — with its historic castle and celebrated high street. On the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is an ideal location for walking, cycling and touring.
