The Smithy cottage is perfectly situated; only 4 miles away from the popular, family seaside town of Skegness where you can enjoy long walks along the beach or have an ice cream on the promenade but is also nestled in a quiet, rural location and in walking distance to the cosy, traditional pub ‘The Chequers’ which is listed as the oldest inn in Lincolnshire.
There are lots of things to do in the local area, why not visit Batemans brewery in Wainfleet to see how they make their famous beer.
Or you can hire Croft spa (a pool, hot tub and sauna) to relax even more!

Further afield (about 15 minutes by car) you will find the beautiful, unspoilt Lincolnshire Wolds, perfect for exploring on foot by bike or by car.
There are many lovely pubs dotted around where you can stop off for a well earned rest.
Gibraltar Point National Nature reserve (20 minutes by car) is perfect for spending time outdoors, long walks around the nature trails, along the beach and spotting lots of wildlife along the way.
There is also a visitor centre with an excellent coffee shop where you can enjoy a drink and a snack or buy some hand made gifts whilst overlooking the reserve.
