  • "The Lodge it’s self was lovely very spacious, warm and beds were comfy."

    Nice touch of a pint of milk, bottle of processco and biscuits was lovely. Some things were left for comfort cleaning stuff, kitchen roll and a few condiments which helped as then you didn’t have to buy. The hot tub was amazing everyone in the party loved it. I asked a question prior to arrival if there was a freezer but had no reply which was frustrating. Upon arrival we notched there was a freezer but the front doors were missing but didn’t stop it from working. There’s only a few gripes which we had and that was that I had to clean the oven as it was left in a disgusting stinky fatty state, there were crumpets left in the toaster and it was very sparse on plates and cutlery which we had to go and buy our own as I again sent a message with no reply until day 3 of our 5 day visit which again is frustrating. The staff I spoken to were very nice and overall had a fab stay. I would recommend to family and friends. But to be mindful and take extra stuff just in case.

  • "This place has become our home away from home."

    We’ve been about 5 times in total now and we love it! So close to shops & restaurants. A lovely nature park close by to take the dog. & an overall relaxing break. This is the first visit since the new owners and we love the subtle changes they’ve made. & best of all.. they’re upgraded the bed size which is a huge plus as the double was just too small previously! Very clean and all the items you’d require to stay, plus a lovely Prosecco waiting in the fridge and biscuits on the counter. What more could you ask for!?

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at here!"

    The lodge was very clean and very cozy. It was very spacious our toddler and dog had lots of room to roam around. We enjoyed the hot tub each night and the place was very peaceful and quiet, you were never disturbed by anyone. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

  • "I can’t say enough good things about this place!"

    I absolutely loved my stay. Everything was perfect— the comfort, the facilities, very quiet place. It felt like a home away from home. The house is really warm and with heated floors... Honestly, one of the best cabins I have ever been. I’m already looking forward to coming back. Highly, highly recommend!

The property

The Lilac Owl is this beautifully presented lodge, tucked away on a popular site in South Hykeham, Lincolnshire, boasting a clad structure with a rear decking housing a hot tub.

The Lilac Owl provides an excellent escape for a family looking to escape normality and uncover this part of Lincolnshire.

Step into the open-plan living space and relish in a home-cooking session within the kitchen, making use of the electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, before settling down at the dining table and tucking into a hearty dish.

Head over to the sofa and enjoy a leisurely evening catching up on your favourite shows, before heading out to the rear decking and relaxing on the furniture, or take a dip in the hot tub under the stars.

When the night rolls in, head to the bedrooms to catch your rest, with the master offering a double bed with an en-suite shower room, whilst the second bedroom offers a twin setup.

Tee off at the nearby 9-hole golf course, ideal for trying your hand at something new or perfecting your swing, in addition to Whisby Nature Reserve, which is home to magnificent views and a variety of wildlife.
