Price Match Guarantee

If you find a cheaper price anywhere online, we’ll refund you the difference.

Price Match Guarantee

If you find your online booking of this property through Sykes cheaper on another website and you meet the conditions below, let us know and we will pay you an amount equal to the difference in price.

Conditions:

The other offer that you could have booked on another website on the same day that you made your Sykes’ booking is identical to it – it is the same specific property, the same check-in and check-out dates, for the same number of guests and it has got the same, or better for guests, cancellation terms.

The other offer is cheaper than your Sykes’ booking when you ignore all optional extras on both and all vouchers, discount codes, gift cards, loyalty, reward or other type of membership or repeat business schemes and any generic promotion on the other offer.

Within 7 days of making your Sykes’ booking you have provided us with evidence of the other offer that is acceptable to Sykes (for example, a screenshot, print out or picture of the full details of the other offer from the point in the booking journey when all that’s left to do is pay) together with its cancellation terms.

This guarantee only applies to a property when you see it advertised on the property listing when you make your booking.

How to claim:

Send the evidence we’ve asked for above to pricematch@sykescottages.co.uk along with your booking reference.

We’ll check if it qualifies for our Price Match Guarantee.

If it does, we will pay you the relevant difference within 14 days. That’s it!

  • "We spent a very relaxing time in Top Cottage and Barmouth."

The cottage was like home from home with lots of little extras to make it so comfortable. The kitchen has to be the most well-stocked that we've ever had the pleasure of using, with all the little gadgets (coffee maker, sandwich toaster etc etc). The beds were comfortable and clean, as was everything else. It's a quirky place over quiet a small footprint but it's been thoughtfully furnished and the views are just stunning. My only gripe would be finding the place initially, as I don't think we were ever made aware that there are no roads to the cottage and you must load/ unload on the main road and walk up some steps. A pass is supplied so that you can park for free in one of the main council car parks in the town (which can be used in many other council car parks in the area which is a bonus). Barmouth itself is beautiful, from the independent shops, cafes and pubs to the stunning scenery and vast sandy beach with protected sand dunes. Lots of things to explore and some amazing walks to be had. Would most definitely return - still feeling relaxed now!

Top Cottage has been beautifully renovated and modernised There are 50+ steps but the views from the lounge and bedrooms are lovely and staying on ''The Rock'' or Old Town is so worth it I recommend walking up to the hill behind and the various viewpoints - Dinas Oleu, Frenchman's Grave, Cae Fadog, 100 Steps, and across to the Panarama Viewpoint in one direction and Gelfachan abandoned village and the Welsh Flag Viewpoint in the other Top Cottage and Barmouth I would happily recommend

Thank you so much for your comments it is so much appreciated Property Owner

  • "I had a lovely stay in Top Cottage in February."

The location is great, tucked away from the noise of the road with an elevated view of the estuary. The main bed was so amazingly comfortable I wish I had looked at the make of the mattress! The twin beds would be better suited for kids as they are a little more insubstantial, but it would make a really cosy place for a family break. Great walks and food places nearby and loads of TV streaming options and games for a rainy day.

  • "Well equipped and the lounge and views were beautiful."

There needs to be more information regarding the steps. There wasn't enough fuel for our 3 night stay, there was a small bin bag full of ice cubes in the freezer, which I thought was disgusting. When we stripped the bed there was stains on the mattress protector, not nice to see and not from us!!

Thank you for your feedback there is information about the steps on the booking platforms and a video on my website which shows access. Also the cottage is called Top Cottage which gives a clue. I do not provide fuel for the log burner this must have been left by a previous guest so this was an add on for you. The fuel that it says I provide in the listing is the gas and electricity not wood for the log burner sorry you misunderstood the listing As for the ice in the freezer this again was left by previous guests not really the end of the world but I do apologise for this Any issues could have been raised with me during your stay you had my contact number. Sorry about the stain on the mattress protector not sure when this happened ? I’ll have a word with house keeping. Property Owner
