  • "Very very dated."

Really needs to be brought into the 21st century - I get the rustic charm but the decor really let the beautiful setting down. Just a modern toaster and kettle would help for starters!

  • "Woodside Cottage was perfect for our 3 night stay."

We were three adults, a teenager and dog travelling together to attend a family event in nearby village. The property accessibility and 2 bathrooms were our main reasons for choosing to stay here. We needed a step free property and a large bathroom for my Mum who has mobility challenges. The property was clean. The beds were comfy. Owners communicated quickly and efficiently regarding key access. Kitchen was equipped. The internet wasn't great, which affected the TV not working however we were only in the accommodation for short periods in the morning and before bed so it didn't bother us but thought I would mention as other guests might not have the good weather we had and might be indoors more. A washing machine would be useful for guests staying for longer than a few days. Woodside Cottage is on a quiet and beatiful property. We met a couple of dogs, a cat and a chicken wandering around. There were other guests in two of the other properties but no noise disturbed us. We didn't visit the shop or pubs in Kerry so we can't provide feedback but all were close to the property. The cottage is a short drive to Newtown and we highly recommend Wagon and Horses for Sunday lunch, the staff, atmosphere and food were fantastic. All in all a wonderful few days and we would return to Woodside Cottage if we are visiting the area again. The above can be published on the property listing. Below is for the owners only not to be published on the property listing. Accessible Bathroom Feedback - A toilet rail support bar and additional rail supports on the wall and in the shower area would be useful for guests with accessiblility challenges. The plastic chair in this bathroom was extremely useful for showering my Mum, thank you. One thing we were a little confused about was the garden area. In the guest notes in the property, it sounded like we were unable to access the garden furniture and hot tub as this was private and the gate by the guest properties should be kept closed and guests us the outside area on the slope with step access. We could all be mistaken and misunderstood the notes inside the property and the area isn't private but if it is a private area, firstly, thank you for letting us use the furniture as the weather was lovely and we sat outside chatting and watching the sheep, cows and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We did use the garden furniture near the hot tub and no one asked us to leave the area but this might have been as my Mum uses a wheelchair and is unable to use stairs so couldn't use the guest garden which has large steps. If the area by the hot tub is private and not for guests use, the hot tub should be removed as a property feature and an accessible outside area would be beneficial.

It was a great base (with parking) for us to go exploring and walking in Wales. The accommodation had everything we needed and check in/out was easy.
