  • "What a lovely holiday home you have!"

We had been looking forward to it from the day we booked. Everything you can think of for a great stay away from home. It is tastefully furnished, a lot of thought gone into it. Immaculately clean in every room. Ideally situated on the park, lovely to sit out and listen to the river running by whilst whilst watching the squirrels up and down the trees, the rabbits playing and birds flying high above in the sky. Thank you for helping make our stay a memorable one. Will definitely be booking again.

We are so glad that you had such a lovely time at riverside rest and enjoyed the wildlife around the lodge . We look forward in welcoming you back . Many thanks for the lovely feedback All the best sarah and Stewart Property Owner

  • "Hallo dear Owner, we like your cottage near by the Riverside very much!"

Unfortunately there was no hot water since our second day. Several times we unsuccessfully tried to contact you, directly and per Sykes. It was frustrating. We also missed a lighter for the gas stove and a brush for the toilet. We recommend communication with your guests. Kind regards, Margareta

We are glad you enjoyed our cottage down by the river. Sykes contacted us about there was no hot water and said you would be contacting us and we never had a phone call so due to this we persumed everything was fine . The reason there is no lighter for gas stove as there is an igniter button on the stove. There isn’t a toilet brush due to hygiene. Kind regards Sarah and Stewart Property Owner

This inviting little log cabin sits on a quiet park on the edge of Builth Wells, Powys.

Enjoying a private setting with a flowing river nearby, Riverside Rest is a great choice for families or groups of four looking to stay in reach of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The off-road parking for three cars makes it easy to arrive and get unpacked, and you’ll be ready to explore the area before you know it!

Step into this quaint abode and make yourself at home in the open-plan living area, perching on the sofa as you discuss the holiday plans together.

Step over to the kitchen, complete with all you need for a short stay, while there is a handy utility room with additional fridge/freezer for extra storage.

Beyond the patio doors lies the rear veranda, a private space to enjoy a drink on the furniture, with the gentle flow of the river putting you at ease.

As the day comes to a close, freshen up in the shower room before retiring to either of the double bedrooms.

When you’re ready to adventure, head into the town centre of Builth Wells, home to a selection of independent shops and well-established pubs to refuel at, plus some historical attractions like Builth Castle, which was built under King Edward I, once an impressive stone-built, now all that remains are earthworks.

The town also has a fantastic golf club and is within reach of the iconic Royal Welsh Show Ground.

If you’re after a slice of countryside charm, visit Hay-on-Wye, where idyllic walks along the River Wye and afternoons unwinding at Hay Warren are recommended For a lovely meal at the end of your day head to Caerberis Manor, which has a fabulous bar and restaurant and is only a short walk away.
