  • "It was absolutely lovely, the location of the accommodation is stunning and around the local area is just as beautiful, can imagine it looking just as beautiful in the winter also."

    There was a very sociable sheep that welcomed us when we arrived and every night when we came back from our daily outings, he would always say hello. The roads were a new experience for me as I have driven down rural areas near where I live before but this was on another level, it was easy to get used to though and just have to make sure you’re extra aware as it’s two way roads that can only fit one car on it in each direction but people are polite enough and there are plenty of pull in areas too to allow people past but the roads rarely got busy anyway, just take your time as you should on roads like that and you’ll be all good. Overall, the place is lovely and beautiful and enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend it and have even mentioned it to a few friends who are looking for a getaway. Plenty to do and all within driving distance, and really appreciated the electric vehicle charging too and at a good price being 30p per kWh, we went out everyday and only spent £45 so it is really useful if you have an EV.

The village of Stiperstones nestles in an unspoilt valley on the slopes of the beautiful Stiperstones Hill range and is only eight miles from the delightful Church Stretton and 12 miles from the historic towns of Shrewsbury and Bishop’s Castle. This small Shropshire village boasts a shop and charming inn and is a perfect starting point for many scenic trails, with the summit of the famous Stiperstones Hill, a 1.5 mile walk, and the East Ridge Wood mountain bike trails very close by. This area is a designated National Nature Reserve, a SSSI and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is consequently a favourite place for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts. The Stiperstones Hill range is dominated by dramatic quartzite tors, which tower above an unspoilt heathland, the most famous is the Devil’s Chair, whilst Manstone Rock is the highest point at 536m above sea level and offers stunning views on a clear day. A short drive away is one of England's finest heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings; Shrewsbury nestles on a loop of the River Severn.
