Settled in the charming hamlet of Penmaenpool near Dolgellau, Gwynedd is this stone-built, mid-terrace cottage of Hafannedd 6 New Cottages.

A lovely retreat for a family of three, Hafannedd 6 New Cottages enjoys beautiful views over the Mawddach Estuary and the southern side of Snowdonia.

Upon arrival, park up in the on-street parking before soaking up the surrounding vistas and making your way up the steps to this delightful abode.

Be welcomed by a tastefully furnished open-plan living space, where two plush sofas rest in front of a wall-mounted TV and a woodburning stove; the perfect spot for unwinding in the evening.

Move through the pleasant space to the well-presented kitchen, where an array of appliances can be found to make tasty meals, to be enjoyed at the adjoining breakfast bar.

When day turns to night, make your way up the curved staircase to find two welcoming bedrooms, a double and single; both rooms enjoy elevated views over the countryside.

A shower room can also be found nearby and offers rejuvenating rinses in the walk-in shower.

On sunny days, head to the back garden, which backs onto enchanting woodland and offers a raised terrace, where alfresco dining can be enjoyed.

Get acquainted with your surroundings by walking along the renowned Maddach Trail, a scenic path winding along the estuary, before returning for a hearty meal and a pint at the popular pub of George III.

Venture to Dolgellau to access more of your amenities in one setting, along with access to the stunning plains of Marian Mawr, a range of friendly pubs and eateries, along with plenty of independent shops.

Cross the toll bridge or follow the walk across the estuary to find Barmouth, where plenty of coastal fun is waiting to be had on the gorgeous sands of Traeth Abermaw Beach, along with hikes along Panorama Walk and fishing excursions from Barmouth's Harbour.

For more delights along the coast, be sure to pay Porthmadog or Portmeirion a visit; if you prefer a bit of adventure, the Cader Idris Mountain Range and Bala Lake are also within easy reach!
