  • "This accomodation is one of the best we have stayed in."

Huge House, very well equiped kitchen. Evenings were spent in the hot tub, playing pool, or playing board games in the kitchen. We had a 5 year old, so the small soft play area in the caravan site opposite was a god send (Free of Charge). Also the pool {Free to use}, in the caravan site could be booked for your family in 1 hour slots. Their was also family entertainment at their other site 10 min walk away. All in all a great time was had by all.

  • "Had a fabulous stay in wales."

The cottage had everything we needed with loads of space and the recently added pool table and hot tub made it extra special with something to do for everyone. The train station was fab and only 5min walk which took you straight into lovely Barmouth but trains don’t run very often so you need to be organised and we never heard the train in the house. Sunnysands which is part the Lyons group campsite where the the swimming pool is and bingo is a 10 min drive but we loved Bingo so worth it. We went to Ysgethin pub which is a 10 min walk and well worth it to have a beer in the picturesque garden by the stream. Overall I would recommend this cottage and everything we did like Snowdon, zip lining, white water rafting, Portmeirion was only an hours drive away. Hopefully we’ll come back to Wales soon!

  • "For a group of seven it was a lovely large house, though the kitchen size was a bit limiting - not much the owners can do about that!"

One single bedroom was without a wardrobe - I think that should be rectified as there was plenty of room for one and it would avoid the person in that room having to use wardrobe space in another room.

  • "This is a great holiday home in a good location for easy access to the sandy beach or to drive into Snowdonia ."

The kitchen is not huge but it is very well equipped with a handy hatch to the dining room. Otherwise the house is spacious and very comfortable with great bathrooms. The garden with its playhouse was perfect for our young grandchildren, if only the weather had allowed us to use the outside dining area. As others have mentioned the WiFi is poor unless you are close to the router. Overall a very good holiday home and we would happily return.

  • "This house was fantastic for our big family holiday birthday celebrations, the bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms were of a very high standard and very comfortable as well as the sitting rooms, the kitchen needs a bit of tlc, some of the door handles were missing off the kitchen doors , the dinning area is lovely but it a squeeze for 10 persons as 4 have to sit on a bench, we did not use the BBQ but it looks a bit tired , we visited the swimming pool at the sister camp site which was fab you book an hour slot, kids liked the soft play, we all loved the amusement arcades, and the long walks across the beach just down the road."

Ninteen 57 restaurant was also brilliant they looked after us very well, the happy hour was much appreciated , we all really loved our stay in this beautiful house , and the location is perfect to explore nearby Barmouth and we also had dinner at Norbar restaurants, it's a little more pricey but really lovely food and the views are stunning. Many memories made for my family from 9 to 80 years old

  • "Property was great, well equipped kitchen, brilliant garden."

Use of stair gates and cots was a great bonus. Was a shame there was a small charcoal bbq in the garden when listing photos showed a large gas one and was a struggle to get signal on tv's in the bedrooms. WiFi was rubbish if you were not sat in the room where the router was. Bedrooms were very spacious and loads of bathrooms too. Use of the local swimming pool was a great addition too. Would recommend and stay again.

Lots of space and places to spend a bit of quiet time if you want. Good location and the beach is a short walk away. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Bbq needs an update. It was a bonus having access to a small pool and soft play area on next campsite.

  • "The house is fabulous!"

It suited our family party of 10 perfectly. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and beautifully presented, with quality linen and fittings. The downstairs space is great, with room to spread out, and a utility room for coats shoes and bags. We only cooked brunch but the kitchen had everything needed to cater for 10 people. The children were well provided for, with outdoor space, and games and DVDs for inside entertainment. However, there were a couple of issues... The website advertised WiFi access and use of a swimming pool, and this influenced our choice of property. But there was no information in the house about accessing the WiFi, and I had no joy when I tried to contact the owner. Also, when we took the children to the neighbouring caravan park to swim, the pool was closed until Easter, despite the fact that I had phoned to check just a few days previously whether it was open. I believe the house has undergone a recent change in ownership/management (eg the contact name on Sykes website is out of date) so maybe they are still putting final arrangements in place. It would have been helpful if this was mentioned when we booked. However, once these issues are solved we would definitely stay again.

We were pleased to find large pans in the kitchen, suitable for a family group's meals. The only thing we would have liked added was a cafetiere. Great position near the beach and the pool at Sunnysands was lovely. Really good value for money.

The property is even better than the photos suggest. The only minor issue which could be addressed simply by adding a trellis or some other natural screening, is that the adjacent camping site has a toilet / shower block immediately next to the house which does takeaway a degree of privacy. Kind regards, Michael Cox.

We were situated close to Snowdon and Cader Idris for the fittest and a beautiful beach 5 minutes away for the rest. The nearby swimming pool was lovely and warm and often empty. We had three generations staying the youngest was five and the eldest over seventy and each and every-one of us enjoyed it. We hope to return and that in itself says it all. With two comfortable reception rooms, and a spacious dining room, six bedrooms (two en suite, plus two "family" bathrooms and two extra toilets) there is plenty of room for everyone in a large group. The house is decorated and equipped to a very high standard: even in the nicest self-catering house, there is usually one thing you would change or improve -- I can't think of a single thing The weather was wild and windy while we were there, but we managed to find brighter moments for great walks, and the beach is a short stroll from the house. There were some very interesting options for eating out, even within walking distance. Tyddyn Goronwy was a terrific find!

Lots of room for large family with all the facilities a family would wish for. Our party of 5 adults and 5 children( aged between 1 and 11 ) were more than adequately accommodated in the 3 storey house. There was a very generous welcome pack on our arrival and the information pack provided was very comprehensive covering lots of different subjects. The only downside was the WiFi wasn’t that brilliant but we managed and because of the local terrain it was probably only to be expexcted. The property owner, Sarah Williams, with whom I had 2 telephone conversations, was a very pleasant lady and was able to answer all my questions as well as give good advice. A great holiday was enjoyed by my entire family and I would highly recommend it to anyone who was thinking about it to rent.
