We enjoyed the peaceful location and found plenty to do. There are lots of good walks nearby.

  • "The cottage was immaculate and perfect for our stay, especially the log burner."

The location is peaceful with walks in every direction. Main tourist towns are only a short drive away.

  • "The cottage was lovely, warm and very well appointed."

We think the owner has done a really good job of modernising it. Excellent wifi! It's in a great location for walking and exploring, and the weather was beautiful so we took full advantage. When we came Wales was still closed but I can imagine it's even better when all the shops and restaurants are open.

  • "Tanrallt is a lovely little property in a small village in Corris - Phil the owner is really helpful and can not do enough to make your stay welcoming and comfortable."

The only reason we have marked it slightly down is we found the property to have a damp feeling whilst we were staying there. This is probably due to the location of the village (in a valley) and the fact that there is a steep slope at the back of the property with constant running water. This combined with the age of the property probably caused the damp feeling. The kitchen window unfortunately has a lot of brambles very close to it stopping any view - I'm sure this is something Phil will be tackling. The neighbours and villagers where all really helpful and friendly. There is a beautiful river running close to the property which is just a 5 minute walk away. Wales is full of beautiful walks and scenery. The coast is also only a 30 minute drive away so you have the best of all worlds staying at this property.

The cottage was cozy but very well equipped. It was very clean and comfortable. Great to have a washing machine and a tumble dryer! The only thing that would have been helpful is a freezer.

  • "The cottage was beautiful and in breathtaking surroundings."

It was extremely clean and comfortable and had excellent little extras that made our stay very nice indeed. Free WiFi and a river nearby for my son to swim in made his stay very pleasing for an 11yr old! Washer, dryer and all the heat we need meant we had all our necessary amenities too ..... outstanding cottage.

  • "Being able to spend a holiday in a slater's cottage was a great experience, especially as there was a slate cavern on the doorstep, with a hands-on 2 hour guided tour."

The cottage was of a high standard and very suitable for us as a walking family. I hardly used the car all week. The location was peaceful and the cottage had a wide subject library to peruse.
