Fantastic welcome pack for adults & dog, including a huge basket of logs for logburner - which we didn't use as weather was gorgeous. Excellent cleaning, my dog is usually the first to sniff out where other dogs have been but she didn't. Could really have done with a downstairs toilet, maybe change where the back door is & put one in the utility room? That's me trying to find fault, congratulations to the owners Reviewed by DesireeApr 2022 "The cottage was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated." Everything needed was provided including a very thoughtful welcome pack for us and our dog! The owners couldn't have been more helpful and kept in touch throughout the process. It might be good if the information leaflets about the local area and amenities could be refreshed. Some of these were quite old and no doubt much has changed since pre-pandemic days. But this is a very small point and in any case guests have the use of excellent wifi at the cottage so can do their own research. We loved our stay and would highly recommend No 5 Distillery Cottage. We were a party of 2 adults and two pre-teens and the property was perfect. The rooms are large enough and it had all the equipment we required for the week and was only a few minutes walk to the beach. Only negative comment is the shower in the bath is quite small so it was bathes for the children. It may not be suitable if the children are very young as the twin bedroom is downstairs with the other bedroom is upstairs but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage for slightly older children if a beach holiday is what you want, although, there are lots of other local attractions to keep everyone happy.
