The property

Brackenrigg Cottage is a handsome house in Brockenhurst, Hampshire, enjoying rural views and off-road parking for four cars.

Arrive at a setting that feels made for memorable group getaways, where there’s space to spread out and come together in equal measure.

Inside, the kitchen/diner sets the pace of the day, with the AGA ready for slow breakfasts and long, chatty suppers, while the coffee maker keeps early risers happily fuelled.

After days out, settle into one of the sitting rooms and let the open fire draw everyone in for board games, stories, and a warming drink.

When the evening calls for something special, head to the cinema style room for a film marathon, then relax in the games room, where a pool table invites friendly competition.

Five bedrooms provide flexibility for families and friends, including a super-king-size, king-size options, and a twin, with en-suite facilities adding extra ease for larger parties.

Outdoors, the enclosed garden becomes a natural extension of the living space; step onto the patio for an al fresco bite, stretch out on the lawn, and fire up the barbecue as the light softens over the countryside.

Beyond the front door, Brockenhurst offers a great base for exploring the area.

Spend a day in Lymington strolling the cobbled streets and harbour, and browsing the lively Saturday market.

Make time for Beaulieu to discover the National Motor Museum and wander its fascinating grounds.

For a city day out, Southampton brings culture and history, from the SeaCity Museum to the atmospheric Tudor House and Garden.

However you choose to fill your days, Brackenrigg Cottage makes a superb backdrop to shared holidays in Hampshire.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
