"Place is lovely and spotless, lots of places to visit by driving."
The only downside for us, the drivedo yeh unmade road, it was a really bad, massive potholes. I wouldn't return because of the road.

"We enjoyed our stay at Seadrift."
The accomadation was well maintained and the living accomadation spacious. All 3 bedrooms though were on the small side. The cottage is very much in the open but very near to a lovely beach. We parked near to the entrance where there is hard standing. but is no drive to the house, just grass which gets very muddy when the weather is wet. The log fire gave off a lot of heat which supplemented the under floor heating.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Seadrift and found the cottage well maintained, warm and comfortable.
Thank you as well for noting the access during wet weather. We’re glad the proximity to the beach and the warmth from the log fire and underfloor heating added to your overall experience.
We’d love to welcome you back again in the future.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Seadrift."
It was a bit frustrating that the weather was so wet and grey as it would have been lovely to sit out and enjoy the garden and the views but this was our only complaint! The bungalow was very clean and comfortable and we would have no hesitation in booking this accommodation again.

Sorry to hear the weather was so wet and grey during your stay, and we hope to welcome you back when the weather picks up so you can fully enjoy the garden and views.

Seadrift was clean, tidy and welcoming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner and her local property managers are incredibly helpful and the location is hard to beat. The beautiful coastal walk to Happisburgh takes you past the lighthouse and into a charming, friendly village and there are many other attractions further afield. Highly recommended.

"Lovely well maintained property nothing lacking re equipment."
Wonderful views and support staff who responded immediately when we had a problem. Everything spotless. Wonderful comfortable sitting room and bedrooms. However final stretch of road unmade so some people may not be happy driving their car down an unmade road. We loved it and hope to come again.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and kind words. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Seadrift and found everything comfortable, spotless, and well-equipped. We’re also glad our team was able to assist promptly when needed.
We appreciate your note about the unmade stretch of road — it’s something we always like to make guests aware of in advance, and we’re pleased it didn’t detract from your overall experience.
We’d be thrilled to welcome you back again in the future!

"Nice property with a large lounge area."
Bedrooms a bit tight (had to move the bed to close the door in one bedroom) and the bathroom shower doors are a little unstable. However, all clean with nice touches. Decent kitchen and enough plates, cups and glasses for the number of guests and more. Wonderful views (especially sunsets) looking out from the lounge.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, Steven. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and those wonderful views. The shower doors have now been fixed, and we’ll look into the bed issue. We really appreciate your comments and would love to welcome you back again.

"Seadrift more than met out expectations, we booked a short stay and honestly want to come back longer next time."
The house is really well set up for guests and has everything you'll need; the surroundings are lovely with only a 5 min walk to the beach that we found we had to ourselves the majority of the time (late August). It's obvious the owners care about the property and anyone coming to stay
Thank you, Laurence, for such a kind review. We’re so pleased Seadrift exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed the house and its peaceful surroundings. It’s a much-loved family home for us, and it’s always very special to share it with guests who appreciate it too. We’d be delighted to welcome you back for a longer stay next time!

"Seadrift was a perfect stay for our family to celebrate a 30th birthday."
The place was super clean and the owners had thought of everything one might need - the kitchen was well kitted out with cooking equipment, crockery and comfortable seating. Thank you for the welcome pack of local products- especially the jam and biscuits! We loved the beautiful view of the lighthouse, hearing the sea from inside the bungalow, the outside space and enjoyed sea swims, walks, cycling and had a great meal at nearby Neatishead pub.
Thank you so much, Liz, for your wonderful review. We’re delighted Seadrift was the perfect place for your family’s 30th birthday celebrations. "We had a wonderful short stay and enjoyed fantastic weather!"
The house is lovely and modern with a very well equipped kitchen including air fryer! The beds were extremely comfortable - we all slept really well.
It is such a quiet secluded place, it's very peaceful and with the lack of light pollution the star gazing was amazing- we saw a few perseid meteors!
The walk to the lighthouse made a pleasant evening stroll and we saw 2 Kestrels hovering and diving along the cliffs a number of times.
We made the most of the beach which is a very short walk- just a couple of minutes, and saw seals in the sea every day.
We will definitely recommend the house to friends and family. We had a wonderful family holiday!
Thank you for your lovely review! We’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay, the comfort of the house, and the beautiful surroundings. It’s great to hear you made the most of the beach, wildlife, and star gazing. We’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime and really appreciate your recommendation!

"The Property was as described and has great views of the Norfolk Countryside."
Be aware, if you have Children, the Property is situated on the edge of a working Farm with Farm vehicles driving around the Property.
The Property has all the amenities required. The seating is comfortable with Recliners. The Bedrooms were tidy and well kept. There were only three of us, so we were ok with One Bathroom (Shower only), but for Six, that may not be enough. The Kitchen was well layed out and had everything we needed. There is very good Broadband @ 30Mbps, good enough for Movies, TV Streaming, Music etc. We also had a 4G Phone signal at the property, which is rare so close to the Norfolk Coast.
The welcome pack and guide are excellent.
Bring your own Phone Charger and Cable, as the Chargers in the Lounge wouldn't charge my Phone. There were others in the Wardrobes that did work, so that wasn't a big issue.
There are Hares on the property, which is great for the Children to see, but there is no direct path to the Bungalow, so you will need to remove your Shoes before entry, as there are droppings everywhere on the Grassy Meadow.
Outside on the Patio, I guess being so close to Farm Fields, there are Hundreds of Ladybirds. Not a huge issue, but you have either a choice of closing the French Windows or allowing the Bugs in.
It was extemly hot, so the Door had to be open. Unfortunately, the Ladybirds love the Colour of the Bungalow.
At the property, it was very windy, so we had to brace the French Windows with a Box so that they would stay open.
A small whinge, unfortunately, there were Boot marks on the floor at the entrance. Also, I had to sweep the floor, as Dust and Fluff was on the Floor in the Kitchen, Bedroom and Hallway.
Getting to the property was easy, the SatNav for Cart Gap Beech worked well. We found that the best route in from the B1159 heading North is the North Walsham Road. Just before a Church ahead on the right, there is a Road Sign directing to the Wenn Evans Centre. Follow North Walsham Road through Happisburgh to the Right, don't turn off at the Wenn Evan Centre, keep following the Dual Lane Road through Happisburgh.
After Happisburgh and the Light House on the left, you'll go through a few bends in the Road until you get to Cart Gap Road on the left. The Sign points to Eccles on Sea, Cart Gap Beach and the Lifeboat Station. You'll need to use the Passing Lanes, as the Road is a single lane Road. Doggetts Lane is on the left at the far end of the Lifeboat Station, before the Cart Gap Car Park on the right.
If you need to use the Cart Gap Car Park, it's pay and display, but there is a Parking Operations App for that. The Car Park is free from 6pm until 8am. Not free for Blue Badge holders unfortunately.
Dogget's Lane is a single Track Lane to the Property and is a very rough Gravel/Stone Lane, very bumpy with many Pot Holes, don't travel over 5mph or you'll damage your suspension on your Car. This Track only wide enough for a single Vehicle as the Hedgerow is not trimmed back. A Car and People walking will not fit. We had to wait for Pedestrians and Cyclists to find room to squeeze by. We were lucky not to meet other Vehicles as someone would have to reverse up the Lane if that situation occurred.
There is a short Five minute walk to the left of the property for a great Cliff Top view of the Beach. The Beach is not accessable in that direction.
To the right of the property, back along Doggett's Lane is a 10-15 minute walk to the Beach, which is fully accessable.
There is a Cafe on Cart Gap Road, which served some tasty food and seems very popular.
We stocked up with supplies at Walcott Stores, a 10 minute drive north back on the B1159.
I'm not complaining, overall, we loved the property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as we were well away from noise and Traffic.
I'm just pointing out facts for others.
Thank you for your detailed review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the peaceful setting, lovely views, and amenities the property offers.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the access lane, charger issues, and cleanliness, and we’ll follow up to ensure these areas are improved. Thank you also for sharing helpful tips for future guests.
We’re glad you had a great stay overall and hope to welcome you back soon!
