  • "I booked due to accessibility and a lovely large grass area for elderly dogs."

    Very happy with the property and proximity to the beach was great. It was a lovely cool breeze all week through a heat wave and the house stayed cool all the time. Really happy with the facilities and a shower that works well, (Many previous places haven’t). Really relaxing with great views. Would book again and recommend to others especially with accessibility needs.

  • "A perfect holiday cottage by the sea."

    Thank you for the extremely generous welcome hamper of Norfolk goodies. Extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. A fantastic kitchen stocked with everything you need. Good pub food at Hill House & nice breakfast at SmallSticks. Good coffee & ice creams at RNLI shop. Huge garden for our dog & us (took our own garden chairs). See you soon!

  • "Location is amazing at less than five minutes from the beach and the views at sunset over the lighthouse were stunning."

    Kitchen facilities were excellent and the beds very comfy, which can sometimes be an issue. Only downside is the unmade road to the property, but not down to the owners for that. I can only say thanks for what was a lovely week away.

  • "Nice property in a lovely quiet location, with just a short stroll to the beach."

    A generous welcome package was waiting for us on arrival (the addition of milk would have made it perfect!), and the dishwasher was a bonus (although could have done with a few more washing tabs). The rooms were a little on the small size, especially as we needed a cot - which resulted in not being able to use the wardrobe in that room. There is a fabulous large outdoor space but with no outdoor furniture, which was a shame. But all in all would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

  • "We chose Seadrift due to the closeness to the beach which our dog loves as do we."

    The coastal walks, pub in Happisburgh with fresh crab and Smallsticks Chaffee were a delight. Accommodation was comfortable for 4 adults and a large dog, we enjoyed outdoor seating area as well as spacious table in the kitchen. Perfectly equipped, washing machine and dishwasher were an added bonus, not forgetting the abundance of plugs. We are already looking at booking again next year, thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage.

  • "We had a lovely week at seadrift, we choose it as so private secluded and unique."

    Only 3 minutes to beautiful happisburgh beach and the sunsets from seadrift were amazing over the lighthouse nearby . Well equipped, cosy , a wood burner and spacious, we highly recommend this hidden gem ! We hope to stay again.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Seadrift."

    The accomadation was well maintained and the living accomadation spacious. All 3 bedrooms though were on the small side. The cottage is very much in the open but very near to a lovely beach. We parked near to the entrance where there is hard standing. but is no drive to the house, just grass which gets very muddy when the weather is wet. The log fire gave off a lot of heat which supplemented the under floor heating.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Seadrift."

    It was a bit frustrating that the weather was so wet and grey as it would have been lovely to sit out and enjoy the garden and the views but this was our only complaint! The bungalow was very clean and comfortable and we would have no hesitation in booking this accommodation again.

  • "Spent a week at this wonderful property over New Year."

    Seadrift was clean, tidy and welcoming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner and her local property managers are incredibly helpful and the location is hard to beat. The beautiful coastal walk to Happisburgh takes you past the lighthouse and into a charming, friendly village and there are many other attractions further afield. Highly recommended.

  • "Lovely well maintained property nothing lacking re equipment."

    Wonderful views and support staff who responded immediately when we had a problem. Everything spotless. Wonderful comfortable sitting room and bedrooms. However final stretch of road unmade so some people may not be happy driving their car down an unmade road. We loved it and hope to come again.

    Walk from the door to Happisburgh or longer walks to Walcott or Sea Palling. Kitchen was well equipped and beds comfortable. A great place for a relaxing stay.

  • "Seadrift more than met out expectations, we booked a short stay and honestly want to come back longer next time."

    The house is really well set up for guests and has everything you'll need; the surroundings are lovely with only a 5 min walk to the beach that we found we had to ourselves the majority of the time (late August). It's obvious the owners care about the property and anyone coming to stay

    The place was super clean and the owners had thought of everything one might need - the kitchen was well kitted out with cooking equipment, crockery and comfortable seating. We loved the beautiful view of the lighthouse, hearing the sea from inside the bungalow, the outside space and enjoyed sea swims, walks, cycling and had a great meal at nearby Neatishead pub.

  • "We had a wonderful short stay and enjoyed fantastic weather!"

    The house is lovely and modern with a very well equipped kitchen including air fryer! The beds were extremely comfortable - we all slept really well. It is such a quiet secluded place, it's very peaceful and with the lack of light pollution the star gazing was amazing- we saw a few perseid meteors! The walk to the lighthouse made a pleasant evening stroll and we saw 2 Kestrels hovering and diving along the cliffs a number of times. We made the most of the beach which is a very short walk- just a couple of minutes, and saw seals in the sea every day. We will definitely recommend the house to friends and family. We had a wonderful family holiday!

HAPPISBURGH, EAST ANGLIA

Norwich 19.3 miles; Great Yarmouth 22.5 miles

This historic village brushes the East Anglian coastline in the English county of Norfolk. Its lighthouse is the oldest working light in the area, as well as being the only independently run beacon in Great Britain, dating back to 1790. Its imposing tower of red and white stands proudly on the north-eastern headland surrounded by verdant countryside. You can visit this beautiful structure during public open days and climb the 112 steps up to the lantern. Another notable building in the village is St. Mary's Church, a 15th century landmark, whose tower warned mariners of the position of the perilous sandbanks nearby. This church also has set open days, where you can enjoy splendid views of the sea and enveloping fields from the top of the tower. Enjoy a picturesque stroll down to the beach and watch the lifeboats speedily tackle the untamed seas. There is also a village trail for you to amble, taking you past all the Happisburgh landmarks worth seeing. The village of Winterton-on-Sea is within easy reach by car and boasts a vast beach and wildlife-rich nature reserve that has attracted colonies of Terns and rare Natterjack toads.
