  • "We have had a wonderful week with our two boys (four and six) at Melinda Cottage."

The property has everything you need and has been a brilliant base for us to explore North Norfolk. We would definitely recommend the area for young families and would certainly recommend Melinda Cottage. We have made some incredible memories. Thank you.

So pleased you had a lovely time and Melinda Cottage lived up to expectations. It was a pleasure to host you and your lovely family. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was satisfactory, however, there was a need for much more crockery, hanging storage for the third bedroom and decent coat hangers."

Unfortunately the garden was not secure and the dog escaped at the back of the shed and under the hedge. We appreciated the welcome box, sadly there was nothing for the dog!

Many thanks for your feedback back. I will certainly check the area behind the shed. With regards to the crockery, we are a small cottage and so we try and make sure we leave enough cupboard space for you to use for your own food stuffs. That said your booking was for 3 people and we left enough crockery for 6 people with a full pot of dishwasher tablets for you to use, so hope you weren’t too disadvantaged. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Melinda cottage such a great location with everything on the doorstep needed while you're away!"

The access is really tight getting down to the cottage but we didn't mind that as the cars were going to be parked up all week we used the local bus service which was amazing or we walked everywhere. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you needed and all the information at hand. The garden was lovely too very safe and secure for the dogs.Thankyou Melinda cottage

  • "A truly beautiful cottage and garden, welcoming, spotlessly clean and comfortable with a lovely garden to enjoy."

The welcome pack, plus treats for our dog, was very much appreciated too. The location, within a few minutes walk from the beach was perfect for us. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage to friends. Thank you.

The location is perfect and only a few mins walk from the beach. Some lovely walks direct from the cottage to West Runton, Cromer and Sheringham.

  • "Frustrating to have to open the cupboard under the tv to change channels esp when you've got a curious dog with you."

Sofas were a little past their best and we found them uncomfortable. Loved the location. The cottage was spotless. The bed was very comfy and the addition of an ensuite toilet was perfect. The garden was great and Wilfred loved exploring it. The welcome pack was an added bonus and Wilfred loved the treats left for him. You have literally thought of everything. Parking was tight for our larger car esp if there were other cars parked nearer to the entrance. We did struggle to find the cottage initially due to the work vans parked either side of the alleyway, so we couldn't see the postbox referred to in the directions. It was a shame that the pub was being refurbished and the other pub didn't serve food during the week. Limited places to eat locally. However, we did enjoy walking to West Runton tearooms (literally the best scones we've ever had), Dormy restaurant (delicious food but drinks a tad expensive) and into Cromer to our favourite cafe, Buttercups. This was Wilfreds first holiday and he settled really well. There are many dog friendly places to eat in Cromer and West Runton and slightly further afield in Sheringham. Having the beach on our doorstep was fabulous. Wilfred loved exploring the rock pools but wasn't keen on the sea.

Many thanks for the feedback. We are pleased Wilfred enjoyed his break! We are sorry to hear you didn’t find the sofas to your liking. The covers and cushions were all professionally replaced last year. We are hoping the White Horse pub will be open this summer, the menu certainly looks good and we are looking forward to a trying it out! Property Owner

  • "What a fantastic property this is!"

Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped, the goodies left for us and our dog by the owners was a lovely surprise. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. There is a convenience store at the bottom of the drive, a pub and chip shop across the road and a fantastic beach just a couple of minutes walk away. We will definately be back!

  • "A lovely cottage to stay in."

Clean, warm and comfortable. The location was perfect to walk the length of the beach from East Runton to Cromer each morning. Negotiating the parking was quite a challenge each day, with a medium-sized SUV. Being able to use the EV charger at the cottage was a real positive. However, it was impossible to park in the allocated parking space and we found it easier to park outside the front door of the cottage instead.

Many thanks for your lovely comments and so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Property Owner
