The accommodation is very well appointed and the hosts are friendly and welcoming, without being intrusive. We enjoyed being able to prepare our own meals if we wanted to and to have the use of laundry facilities was a bonus. Arriving late to a warm welcome and a generous welcome hamper was appreciated after our long day. We will certainly be recommending The Annex to family and friends and we hope to stay again in the future.

The property

This fabulously furnished ground floor apartment comes attached to the owner's home in the village of Poringland in Norfolk.

Enter The Annex via its private porch, where you can hang your coats and kick off your shoes before entering.

The kitchen is beautifully finished with country cream fixtures and fittings and beautiful bamboo worktops.

From here, you will be led to a delightful little dining area, where you can enjoy your meals.

Just off the kitchen lies a charmingly tiled shower room with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.

Grab handles are located in the shower and by the WC.

The rustic wooden flooring leads you to the wonderful double bedroom, boasting spacious fitted wardrobes, a TV with cosy armchairs, a window seat and your very own customised map on the wall where you can plan tomorrow's adventures.

Despite having a cosy, warming interior, The Annex can be enjoyed just as much in the summer with its incredible garden area making for the ideal spot to sit out and enjoy the warm weather.

As well as the wildlife-filled woodland and beautiful lawn, Poringland is a lovely village to spend your holiday with its supermarket, choice of pubs takeaways and a restaurant.

There is much to do nearby; visit the beautiful city of Norwich, with its astounding architecture and wide range of places to shop and eat, a local Bus service will take you into the City.

You can walk, cycle and spot wildlife in The Broads, or enjoy a day by the sea at Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft slightly further afield.

The Annex at 60 Rectory Lane is a wonderful apartment in an ideal location for exploring Norfolk.
