Friendly owner. Probably one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. Hingham delightful. Will come back next year if we can get in.

The property

This beautifully presented ground floor farm cottage is just a short walk from the centre of Hingham in rural Norfolk.

The cottage is ideal for couples, young families and friends wishing to stay in a rural location, close to the village centre and offering excellent access to most of Norfolk.

Step into the cottage and you will be impressed by the fully-equipped, cottage kitchen with small breakfast bar.

The kitchen leads to the cosy living room with comfortable seating area, dining area and patio doors leading to the front courtyard.

The cottage has a family bathroom and two bedrooms, a single bedroom and a king-size double with a door opening out to the front private courtyard which is a real sun trap on a sunny day and an ideal spot for a morning coffee whilst planning your day ahead.

The farm is home to some horses, a small adult only caravan site and two fishing lakes with free of charge fishing available for two people.

Nearby there is an excellent golf course and spa, perfect for recharging after a game of golf!

The cottage is ideal for exploring Norfolk with it being close to excellent road links to the vibrant City of Norwich, with its rich culture, history and arts, as well as the towns of Wymondham and Dereham with its great shopping and weekly markets.

Further afield gets you to the coastal areas of Great Yarmouth, Holkham and Sheringham, to name a few, for some great days out.

Stable View is a great property in a superb location to enjoy a wonderful holiday at any time of the year.

About the location

Wymondham 6 miles; Watton 7 miles; Norwich 15 miles.

Quietly nestling amidst the stunning Norfolk countryside, the ancient town of Hingham boasts two village greens, a pub serving good food, and a number of independent amenities including a variety of shops, along with an array of Georgian architecture not to be missed. Previously the home of Samuel Lincoln, whose direct descendant was Abraham Lincoln, this quaint town is home to a 14th century church where you can view a bust of the former President himself. The historical town of Wymondham, with its ancient abbey and original stone cross and nearby Watton both offer great shopping and a weekly market, whilst nearby Norwich is rich in culture, history and the arts. There’s plenty of great walking, cycling and wildlife watching opportunities in the surrounding area and combined with great fishing, several easily accessible golf courses and both motor racing at Snetterton and horse racing at Fakenham, this fabulous location has plenty to offer at any time of year.
