  • "We booked our stay to celebrate my Dad's 90th Birthday."

The cottage was lovely and clean and there was nothing more we could have wished for. It is one of the best places we have stayed and we would consider staying again in the future.

  • "Pros: - Good location (7 min to Cromer, 5 min Lidl) - Well maintained property, good size bedrooms -Very well equipped kitchen - Owners responded very quickly to our query Con: - the only one is the heating."

.. when we arrived the property was very cold (maybe use the Hive to set the temperature on change over day?). The dining area/ conservatory could do with a heater - if the sun didn't come out it was cold.

  • "Lovely property in a good location for coast and shops."

Excellent facilities and very comfortable beds. Although on a fairly busy road, it was quiet indoors. Only recommendation we would make would be for a mirror across the road to assist pulling out of the driveway. Very limited visibility from the right particularly if you have a car with a long bonnet. Overall we would highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much for your great feedback. We are glad that you had a good holiday at Woodview. We will make some enquiries with the Council as to your excellent suggestion of the road mirror. Thank you again for your comments much appreciated! Property Owner

  • "Fabulous property, in easy reach of Cromer and Sheringham."

Property very well laid out, in the terms of a great space in the porch with a lovely Chalk board from the owners, Karen, giving you info on what's on and the local weather. Cromer Carnival was on, whilst staying in the property. The sleeping and living area's were lovely with a great extra space in the conservatory, which over looks fields. Property was very Clean, everything you need, including all cooking utensils, Towels big and soft, Fabulous wood burner for the winter months (though it was not used in August !) Lovely enclosed garden with patio and lawn, enclosed Fish Pond, and with garden furniture. The only draw back is being very close to the main road, 40 mph, Other than that a very nice property in a great location !! Host, Karen was on hand from day 1 and all questions were answered within in a few minutes. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful stay, and the lovely touch of Coffee Tea & Biscuits on arrival.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Much appreciated. We are glad that you had a wonderful stay! Property Owner

Great location. Very well equipped. Cleanliness of shower disappointing had to clean plug hole as water wasn't going away and shower head dirty. Apart from that we all had a lovely holiday. Thanks

Thank you for your comments. We will speak to the cleaners about sorting out the shower head and plug hole. We are glad you found the cottage well equipped and situated and that you had a lovely holiday. Property Owner

  • "Had a great time at the bungalow everything we needed and it was comfortable."

Only one drawback was because of the weather, eating in the conservatory at the only dining table was very uncomfortable with the heat. Apart from that, fully recommend it. Thank you to the owners.

Cromer 3 miles; Sheringham 7 miles.

Roughton is a small village in North Norfolk just over three miles from Cromer. It is home to a local pub and is where Albert Einstein briefly stayed after he fled Germany. A couple of miles away is the village of Felbrigg which is home to the Felbrigg Estate, owned by the National Trust and which extends over 1760 acres including the Great Wood which surrounds the magnificent Felbrigg Hall. The popular seaside resort of Cromer is known for its wonderful clifftop promenade, with attractive, colourful gardens and seating areas ideally placed for enjoying the stunning panoramic views over the sea. Cromer has a lovely, sandy Blue Flag beach where both children and adults can spend hours building sand castles, swimming, sunbathing or investigating the tidal pools in search of interesting sea creatures, which include young Cromer crabs. Cromer is proud of its beautiful Victorian pier, offering theatre shows, a museum and an RNLI lifeboat station, which is open to visitors and where you can learn about Cromer’s long lifeboat history. Take a nostalgic journey on a steam train at nearby Sheringham, or spend a day driving or cycling along North Norfolk’s beautiful coastline, stopping off to explore its salt marshes and nature reserves rich with birdlife.
