  • "The cottage is extremely well equipped and spacious (it would be difficult for the photo's to do it justice)."

The welcome pack was a lovely addition, and there were lots of books, games etc. provided. The local pub is a great bonus - good service and food. Although we arrived when the 'petrol crisis' struck, it did not spoil our holiday (we managed to fill up at Morrisons in Cromer). We visited Mundesley, Cromer, Norwich, Sheringham several times, went on the North Norfolk steam railway (highly recommended), Holt, Felbrigg Hall, and Cley marshes, where we saw Iolo Williams from Springwatch - if it is good enough for him, it is definitely good enough for us. Thanks to the owners and to Sykes, for a wonderful holiday.

Also needs a bigger kitchen bin as we had a baby so we cooked at the house alot so needed to get rid of rubbish. I also think the ensuite needs a refresh as looking tired.

Perfect for us with two dogs. Great location for exploring North Norfolk. Cottage is quirky, cosy and well equipped. We loved cooking here and dining at that fabulous dining table over a bottle of wine or two! We will be back.

  • "We had a great time despite a couple of rather wet days, one of which we spent mostly in Church Cottage which was warm and comfortable."

The beautiful south facing courtyard garden was very sheltered and sunny during a day of very strong wind. The surrounding area is lovely and very peaceful and the local community friendly. Attractions in Cromer and further afield, both inland and along the coast are plentiful and Cromer crabs and fish and chips definitely things not to be missed. We will look forward to another visit in the near future, hopefully at the same venue.

  • "Definitely worthy of being a Sykes cottage."

Much bigger than we expected. Well equipped kitchen and a lovely welcome gift. Everything was of high quality and very clean. Our only criticism was that the two large beds were not comfortable ...we were used to memory foam toppers. The villagers were very friendly, especially at the church and local pub. All the local beaches were dog-friendly, and restaurants and cafes.Plenty of local walks for the dog, especially to Overstrand Beach.

Could maybe benefit from an outside light in the garden and garden furniture needs updating, which is just a small thing. The walks from the door are perfect and the village pub very friendly with excellent food, would recommend highly.

  • "Northrepps was a very convenient position for closeness to facilities, especially the lovely sandy beaches, and was a very quiet village."

The garden, although small, was safe and fine for the grandchildren to play in. Everything about the cottage was well appointed and thought out. The Welcome Pack was a very nice surprise, and helped us get over an exceptionally long drive there, due to excessive traffic. As there were no local shops in the village, we shopped at the larger Co-op in Cromer, which took very little time to get there through the country lanes avoiding the traffic in Cromer. We all enjoyed a very relaxing holiday.

  • "We were pleasantly surprised by how large and comfortable the cottage was, the pictures didn’t do it justice!"

The added homely extras made it even better - the box filled with games was a big hit with our daughter! Loved the big armchairs in the snug, so comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is to cut back the bushes next to the driveway, we found it quite difficult to park in there with enough space to get in and out easily.

  • "The cottage was well presented."

The welcome pack was very welcome after a tedious 7 hour drive (should have been 4.5 hrs!); especially the red wine! We did consider booking for our break in October, unfortunately Church Cottage is not available, next year perhaps. We only heard the church bell ringers once during our fortnight, shame, they were very good; much better than our local campanologists! Having looked through the comments book at the cottage it became very clear that many of the visitors were repeat guests, what better recommendation can you have; we hope to become returnees too! A very relaxing peaceful break, plenty to do and see and an undersold garden!

So quiet, just the birds. Very attractive spacious easy to live in accommodation. Very homely & all mod cons. Easy to use appliances. Very comfortable bedrooms. Sykes has not disappointed us after a few lovely holidays, no reservation about recommending them. Easy access to N. T Properties & wildlife reserves & coast. (Only negative was using bath tap. Due to shower screen virtually impossible to reach/manage taps without getting in bath. Which made adjusting temperature very awkward). Otherwise Top Marks. 2 more Sykes hols this year to enjoy - Yorkshire Dales & Cumbria.

Easy parking either next to the front or back door so great for unloading the car. The place is huge. Every room is bigger than the pictures suggested. Two of the bedrooms have a great view of the church but don't worry as the bells only sound on a Sunday! Fully equipped large kitchen. The split lounge is a fantastic idea and works really well. Everything provided and all high spec. Enclosed garden. Super dog walks in all directions and the local pub does quality food. One of the best places we've stayed.

I can only repeat the superlatives which , no doubt, have already been said by previous customers. What makes this property outstanding is the attention to detail which the owner provides.
