  • "We just got back from a wonderful stay at the White House."

The house itself is a real gem, and the owner has clearly given a lot of thought to the rooms with lots of homely touches. There’s lots of character and the children loved playing "shopkeeper" through the old service hatch that connects the kitchen to the living room! The house is in a great location, really close to Norwich city centre with its rambling old streets and the famous market, while also being on the edge of a nature reserve. We walked about Whitlingham Country Park and spotted a Great Egret, then ended up in Trowse village where the kids had loads of fun on the zipline and spinning seesaws. We discovered a cool craft beer brewery & taproom close to the house under an old railway bridge which does pizzas. It’s child and dog friendly too. The large rain shower is awesome, and there’s a roll top bath to unwind in, but be warned, you won’t want to get out! The beds are also very comfortable. We had a really nice stay at The White House, and we’d love to go back.

Thank you so much for such a lovely review! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and that the children made the most of the old service hatch, it’s one of my favourite quirks of the house. Also great to hear you explored the area and found so many things to enjoy nearby and that the house felt comfortable and welcoming for you all. You’d be very welcome back at The White House anytime!
