    Mrs Woodhouse

“Absolutely stunning property, it felt like we were staying in our dream home.”

We couldn’t believe it from the moment we stepped in, it was so worth the long drive. So warm with the underfloor heating, and a cosy wood burner as well. We didn’t use the woodburner as much as we thought as the strong winds ate up the logs quickly and the underfloor heating is so good on its own. Lots of space for cooking yummy meals with all the utensils you need. We climbed Snowdon while we were there and it was lovely coming back to a hot bath and warm floor under our feet. The ...

The furniture and decor are gorgeous, the beds are like clouds. Didn’t want to leave! It must be even better in summer when you can use the garden too. We will definitely book again and recommend this place very highly to anyone thinking of booking. Only small things were the charger socket in the bathroom doesn’t work, it would be nice to have some curtains in the living room/kitchen (might be just me though :)) and the toilets don’t have great water flow for flushing. The owner was helpful as we arrived late she kindly checked on us later the next morning. Thank you for a great stay in such a beautiful place.

The property

Beudy'r Wennol is a beautifully renovated, detached barn conversion in a peaceful location, surrounded by open farmland on the fringes of Groeslon village, North Wales.

This exceptional and unique barn conversion provides luxury holiday accommodation, and incorporates some of the original features with the addition of more modern facilities, such as underfloor heating throughout, contemporary furnishings, lovely fabrics and beautifully crafted oak ledge and brace doors.

The spacious sitting room is light and bright with a stunning exposed stone gable wall, all enhanced by the impressive high pitched ceiling, stylish lighting and oak beams; this wonderful sitting area is made complete with a warming woodburner and large comfy leather sofas; a sumptuous place to relax after a day out walking.

The luxurious and well-equipped kitchen, complete with preparation island and Rangemaster stove, will inspire you to conjure up some tasty treats for the family and is a wonderful social space with comfortable dining for all the family.

There are three stylish and well-appointed bedrooms, all boasting hand-crafted oak king-size beds, ensuring a good night's sleep, patio doors out to seating areas and one of the bedrooms has the benefit of an en-suite shower room.

The other two bedrooms share the use of an equally beautiful bathroom and there is an additional cloakroom for convenience.

In the attached outbuilding there is storage space for bikes and equipment and if the weather keeps you indoors, there is a pool table and a dart board here.

To the front is a courtyard and decked seating, the frontage is all open to the adjacent cottage, Plas Mawr, with a private garden at the rear, ideal for enjoying a cup of tea whilst planning the day ahead.

Situated in a tranquil setting surrounded by open farmland close to the village of Groeslon and yet is within five miles of the historical and royal town of Caernarfon, offering a range of shopping facilities.

For those who love walking, there are some excellent routes from the cottage, not to mention the beautiful Blue Flag beach at Dinas Dinlle, offering a sloping shoreline, sand dunes and rock pools, just three miles away.

Snowdon is within easy reach and slightly further afield are also attractions including Bounce Below and Zip World Velocity 2 and Zip World Titan.

A lovely and relaxing retreat, with something for everyone to enjoy all-year-round.

Note: Adjacent to Ref 974514 and booked together they can sleep 14.

The village itself offers the traditional Penionyn Tafarn pub serving food, the ideal spot to sit and relax after a day of activities. There is also the Indigo Jones Slateworks, a slate business dating back to the 1860's which has a delightful café and is dog friendly. There is seemingly endless places to see and things to do around Groeslon with the historic town of Caernarfon just a short drive away, and the amazing Isle of Anglesey just slightly further, a place you must visit whilst in North Wales. There is also an abundance of seaside resorts nearby if that's your thing, with Dinas Dinlle, Pwllheli and Porthmadog all within easy reach. Of course the Snowdonia National Park cannot be missed, with an enormous range of scenery, walking and wildlife to enjoy.
