“A very good centre for exploring North Wales - a very comfortable house with excellent parking facilities”

The property

This contemporary, semi-detached cottage sits close to the centre of Blaenau Ffestiniog, a historic mining town in the Snowdonia National Park.

Superbly refurbished and restored with great attention to detail, Brynglass has been well thought out with comfort in mind, providing an excellent base for families and friends.

Boasting oak features and bespoke handcrafting panelling throughout, combined with a modern and fresh interior, Brynglass will not disappoint and you are ensured a warm Welsh welcome.

Prepare a sumptuous feast in the kitchen while listening to music in the bluetooth speaker, amply-appointed with all the mods and cons required for a short break, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, before settling down at the dining table to share a wholesome family dinner.

Step in the sitting room, throw another log on the fire and unwind into the evening before heading up to bed.

Continue your favourite series into bed with Smart TVs in the king-size bedrooms, while the bunk bedroom accommodates perfectly for children, each well-presented for a pleasant stay.

Outside you can make the most of a sunny afternoon and sit in the terraced garden, providing picturesque vistas over the slate mountains from the top.

Blaenau Ffestiniog, and the surrounding areas are a walkers and hikers haven; considered the former ‘slate mine of the world’, you are sure to find an attraction for you, whether it be immersing yourself in the town's history or challenging yourself to a climb up the steep-sided mountains.

Take in the hustle and bustle of the town’s highstreet, popping in and out of shops in search of a souvenir for back home before sampling the delicious local food in a restaurant or pub.

The surrounding area has attractions to suit all the family, with the Zip Caverns and Bounce Below offering a unique adventure into the underground caves or hop on board the famous narrow Gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway nearby, passing through awe-inspiring views of the Snowdonia National Park and over to the lovely harbour town of Porthmadog.

Hikes, trails and cycles are in no short supply within the Snowdonia National Park, including a hike to the summit of Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, while you are also within striking distance of the charming coastline, where you will find the resort of Porthmadog and Portmeirion, both offering great days out.

Gather loved ones for an action-packed escape to Brynglass.
