  • "The holiday house was lovely, very comfortable, very clean, beautiful surroundings."

The only things that would improve the property experience would be a second fridge, and a door or step on the downstairs wet room shower to prevent the whole floor getting wet.

We are so glad you had an enjoyable stay at Acresfield. We have taken onboard your comments and will provide an extra fridge next season Property Owner

  • "We have stayed here for the last 3 years but are unlikely to book again."

The property has not been well maintained and is now poorly equipped.

  • "This was our second year at the property, on a 'multi-generational' holiday spanning 3-85yr olds."

It was perfect. Purely for the sake of constructive feedback - my very small point would be that bathroom cleaning products were provided in preparation of cleaning the bathrooms upon departure. There was toilet stuff in every bathroom, but nothing to clean the bathrooms with - it's a very small point, and wasn't an issue, but something that crossed my mind at the end of the holiday.

  • "The initial appearance of the property was not impressive but once inside we were very impressed, especially with the view."

Really nice property with lovely balconies to take in the spectacular view. The accommodation was spacious and could accommodate a party of ten easily. Although there was adequate equipment provided in the kitchen it was totally disorganised and took us ages to find anything. Cleanliness was good but could have been slightly better as there were cobwebs and dirty windows and bushing up outside would have helped the initial appearance. Garden area was not used much as access for children was difficult and not adequate fencing for the dog, especially with the sheep at one point being right next to the fence (my grandchildren loved this). This was not too much of a problem as the balconies more than made up for it. In general a lovely property in a beautiful setting, with good access to the beach and shops (a bit of a hill on way back but worth it for the view. I would definitely return to this property.

  • "Beautiful property in a beautiful spot."

We love it at Acresfield, it is perfect in every way. We love it so much we have booked it for 2023, our third year there. A couple of things to mention though, the carpet outside the master bedroom ensuite felt wet on occasion and on the last night we noticed a tile on the ensuite shower floor moved when stood on, possibly where the water was coming from to make the carpet wet? Also the property wasn’t as clean as it had been the previous year - dead flies dotted about on floors and ledges, fly dirt on the lightshades, dirty windows outside (not unavoidable bird dirt, it was a not cleaned window dirt ) and nail clippings on the carpet in a bedroom. These are not huge things, and very possibly one offs, but if as a company you’re paying for a team/person to clean you aren’t too know if they are fulfilling the service they are hired to provide if customers don’t report back. These did not detract our enjoyment of the property and we very much look forward to returning next year.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
