"Property was as described, although we struggled to locate as hidden from road behind electronic gate."

No gate code given with arrival information. The drive up to it was a bit hairy but we got used to it. Great location for visiting surrounding area though as once down the hill you’re on the main trunk road straight away. Living and sleeping space all on one level upstairs above triple garage, strange smell as you enter property but disappeared as you went upstairs. As a family of four, stopping for 7 nights we struggled with cooking meals some nights due to lack of equipment - no wok, microwaveable bowls etc this could easily be rectified. Also struggled with the hob - it kept pulsing don’t know if this is normal for an induction hob? It was brand new as we had to take the label off to cook on it! Maybe a user manual would be helpful? Freezer was very frosted up - struggled to open a couple of drawers. Towels were very small! Toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet and there were some areas in bathroom that weren’t as clean as we would have expected eg. dust falling from extractor, masking tape round towel rail, edge of bath panel not clean. We were told there would be a gas bbq but couldn’t locate one, bought disposable one instead as kids were looking forward to it. It would be nice to have some more thought given to outside area as the next door property has a whole host of outdoor provisions. We were the first people to stay in the property and took a risk booking it as there were no photos available at the time. The property is as pictured but it’s just the finer points that need to be looked at. All in all a good stay, just hope that these smaller items can be rectified for future visitors. We loved our week in North Wales and will definitely visit again as soon as much to see and do.

Hi Sarah, Appreciate your comments, we as owners and our care team will action your points to improve the stay for others and hopefully you next time. The gate code has been sorted now, what is special about the gate is the privacy and country retreat. I will arrange a bbq for next spring. With feedback we can sort the finer details. "Stayed at Gateskeeper Cottage for 4 nights and found it very comfortable, clean and tidy."

All on one level (1st floor) with outdoor space and lovely goats and peacocks for neighbours, kept us entertained, very friendly. Fully equipped kitchen, all facilities, although we did not do any cooking. The shower was fantastic, had both rainfall and normal shower heads both very powerful. Could do with a slip mat in bath and perhaps a hook to hang things on and larger towels, nice to wrap up after shower. Only other oversight was not being supplied with Gate Lock number, this should be included with Key Safe number in information supplied. Also would be useful to include that cottage is hidden behind a large gate as we could not see clearly from lane as hidden by gate. Anghard was very helpful and friendly on phone and supplied us with gate code. Overall we had a great stay.

Hi Jill, Many thanks for your wonderful review, we as a team are so pleased you had a great stay. The code for the gate has now been sorted in the booking information (my oversight sorry). Angharad & John do an excellent job looking after the grounds and goats and peacocks, they make the properties clean, tidy and in top standards for discerning guests who deserve a no hassle well deserved relaxing holiday. Hope to see you again. Best wishes Evan (Owner) And Annie & Team x Property Owner
