Located on the Wat's Dyke Way, there are ample walking and cycling opportunities from the doorstep. In addition, the location of this Wales self-catering cottage means it is ideal for exploring North Wales and over the border into England, venture to the fabulous Bodnant Gardens and Anglesey both within an hours drive away.

A perfect peaceful Wales self-catering getaway, whenever you choose to visit. Outside, the rear garden is a pretty space, featuring a gravelled area with garden furniture, and space for fire pit, and barbeque. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee or dining alfresco, this space provides the perfect setting. For those eager to explore, the nearby villages of Rhosesmor, Halkyn and Northop offer convenient shops and pubs, perfect for gathering supplies or enjoying a relaxed evening out. Take day trips to the market towns of Mold, with its shops, ale houses, wine bars and restaurants and home to the newly refurbished Theatr Clwyd, or Holywell with it’s legendary St Winefride’s Well and Greenfield Valley or venture to Flint to discover its rich history, the castle and estuary or enjoy the lush landscapes of Wepre Park, ideal for picturesque walks.

Venture into the Welsh countryside to find the likes of Moel Famau and Moel Arthur along the Clwydian Mountain Range The city of Chester is a must, where you can walk around the walls, shop till you drop, or visit it’s Cathedral or Storyhouse Theatre and Grosvenor Museum, not to mention the famous Chester Zoo or take a stroll along the River Dee, and enjoy a sweet treat at a Riverside Takeaway. Alternatively a visit to Llangollen, Pontcysyllte and the National Trust's Erddig Hall are also excellent places to visit. Halkyn a pretty, scattered Welsh village in an elevated position overlooking the Dee estuary. This is an area of Special Scientific Interest, surrounded by 2000 acres of common land. This Welsh village is well known for its walking and mountain biking, and adjoins the Wat’s Dyke heritage trail. Conveniently located a few miles off the main A55 Welsh road, this North Wales village is ideal for exploring the North Wales coast, Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey and, being a short distance from the English border, you have the Roman city of Chester with its famous walls, amphitheatre and historic rows. For a day trip you could visit the vibrant cities of Liverpool or Manchester, both within easy reach, while a little further afield, why not visit the emerald island with the Holyhead to Dublin ferry a little over an hour away? So with Ireland, England and Wales all waiting to be explored, this village is an ideal base at anytime of the year.
