  • "Gareth, the owner, was very helpful, introducing us to the property and on hand whenever required."

    Despite Bodrual Cottage being attached to the owner's farmhouse, it all felt very private indeed. The cottage itself is amidst farmland in quite a rural location. But it is also just a couple of hundred yards from a road network that gets you pretty much anywhere you need to go in north Wales. It is quite a large cottage with plenty of parking and very good facilities. We were pleased to find that the owner had provided a welcome pack which included, amongst other things, milk, biscuits, crisps, and a bottle of wine. Tea and coffee were also provided which meant that everybody could settle down right away. A very nice place to stay and I would recommend it.

  • "A great place to stay for families."

    The cottage is large, comfortable and well equipped. The vast and very usable outdoor areas were a real bonus - lots of options for dining, relaxing and games with the children. The only thing that would make the cottage even better is another shower - the bath was great for the children but six adults trying to use one ensuite shower was a bit of a push at times.

  • "First class for all questions, however we were a group of 8 ladies age 50+ climbing into bunk beds in a very small room was interesting!"

    Sign posting from the main road could be better as SAT NAV took us the wrong way. Really enjoyed our two night stay in Bodrual Cottage and definitely recommend as plenty of room inside and out with great facilities.

  • "This cottage was absolutely amazing."

    Cleanliness was faultless. Thoughtful welcoming pack of goodies. The location was great for getting about, with the view of Snowden from the hut-tub. We’ve been to many of cottage up and down the country and this is the best. Friendly host, you couldn’t ask for more.

    The property is exactly what it says in the description, clean, spacious and the hot tub is spot on, with scenic views of the mountains in the background. Will definitely be visiting again.

  • "Everything about the cottage was excellent."

    We had an issue with the bath leaking but Gareth the owner sorted it for us. The cottage had everything we needed, but a small suggestion would be a bigger fridge and some non-stick frying pans.

    Thank you for your kind feedback the fridge was brought urgently due to the one that we had broke,this was purchased on a Saturday morning because we had guests arriving in the afternoon although this is a standard size. as to the frying pans we do have non stick ones it all depends what utensils are used we will be renewing these.many thanks Gareth Property Owner

  • "A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a great location to explore North Wales."

    We particularly loved the outdoor space (playground and BBQ area), as well as the open plan living/kitchen/dining. Thank you so much to Gareth and family for looking after us during our stay! Recommendations in the local area for families with young children: Gypsy Wood, Pili Palas, Abersoch beach, amusement arcade at Pwllheli, Caernarfon Castle.

  • "House was ideal for a Family of 9 with Fabulous Views & a great location Well equipped Kitchen but could possibly do with a bigger Fridge!"

    ! Outdoor Space brilliant - Hot Tub & Pizza/B-B-Q area great The bedding & towels were great quality. The double bedroom with en-suite was Fab - Mattress & Pillows were perfect. But the other beds apparently were a tad hard!! The Hosts were very friendly & on hand if we needed anything. The Welcome Pack was the best Ive ever come across Would definitely recommend Bodrual Cottage & would definitely consider staying again

    The space both inside and out is fantastic. We had 3 little ones and a teenager in our party and they loved the space. The owner was great, they left a lovely welcome basket and was always on hand should we need them. The views from the hot tub were amazing and you're only a very short drive away local attractions. Overall, brilliant stay and would return.

    Great outdoor space, children play area, BBQ area, outdoor seating area and hot tub. Really enjoyed our stay and wanted to stay longer. Views from the cottage are beautiful and relaxing in the hot tub watching the cows was a joy. Friendly and helpful owners on site. We will definitely be back.

Resting rurally in Rhosbodrual near Caernarfon in Gwynedd is Bodrual Cottage, a contemporary barn conversion.

Enjoying countryside views, looking towards Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), a homely interior, and a convenient location within driving distance to both the beach and the Snowdonia National Park, Bodrual Cottage welcomes nine guests for a group getaway.

Benefit from ample off-road parking, before making your way into the cottage, firstly arriving at the open-plan living space, abording lofty beamed ceilings and enough space to accommodate your entire group; rustle up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, gather around the large dining table, and relax with the woodburning stove alight.

Outside is set up for alfresco living with extensive gardens which house a decked area complete with a pizza oven, a fantastic play area for the kids and for the grown-ups, a wonderful seven-seater hot tub.

You can imagine spending lots of happy holiday time here soaking in the tub while watching the children play safely before stepping out and tucking into delicious home-made pizza.

As sleep calls, select between four well-appointed bedrooms, including a double with en-suite, a twin, a ground-floor bunk room, and a ground-floor family room, all complete with TVs.

Many areas of interest can be reached by car from Bodrual Cottage, starting with Caernarfon, home to a magnificent castle, marina, popular golf club and the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre, where you can try your hand at kayaking and paddle boarding.

Bangor is your next stop, where you can tour Penrhyn Castle & Garden, or enjoy a stroll along Bangor Promenade and the Garth Pier, before heading to the centre, brimming with eateries and shops.

Travel across to the Isle of Anglesey, home to a wealth of family-friendly attractions, including Pili Palas Nature World, Plas Newydd House and Gardens, and Anglesey Sea Zoo, or remain in the countryside, touring the national park and its beauty spots, including Llanberis Lake Railway, Dolbadarn Castle, Glyder Fawr, and Beddgelert Forest.

CAERNARFON

Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is close to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including the renowned mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
