Felt very homely so we could relax straight away. Loads of places to visit from the house within a short drive in either direction. Although on a main road, traffic noise was very minimal and easy to drive in and out of the driveway. All appliances were easy to use and an instruction booklet was supplied if needed. Lovely welcome pack provided with tea, coffee, sugar, milk , water, crisps, shortbread, crackers and welsh cheese. Also provided was washing up liquid, kitchen roll, hand wash etc. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely decor throughout with everything you would need provided. The house was very comfortable and we loved sitting in the sun room/garden enjoying the views. Our week was, unusually for our Welsh holidays, very warm and sunny but the area is a spectacular place to explore in any weather. Kev was quick to respond to any messages and also made the effort to check with us shortly after arrival to make sure everything was ok. Cleanliness was good and the welcome pack were all appreciated. Excellent location for quick access to the A55 and local amenities as well as many great places to visit such as LLandudno, Bodnant Garden, Conwy and Betws-y-Coed. It's very hard for us to find somewhere we'd be happy to come back to but this is one of them!

  • "A wonderful stay at Min Y Don."

The house was beautiful and there was all the amenities we needed. The only small negative points were that the sun room door was faulty so we could only open part of it and the access to the property was on a very busy road. But this did not detract from an excellent holiday and the owner popped by to put out bins and was cheerful and helpful. The interior decor it very tastefully done, a big kitchen dining area with an extension on the front with very large fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher! A lovely sitting room with 2 x 2 seater sofas and tv, and our favourite the sun room with 2 chairs overlooking the fantastic view of the River Conwy. Upstairs a massive bathroom with walk in spacious shower and claw foot bath! The master bedroom and small single bedroom were at the back overlooking the view and the double twin bedroom at the front. A lovely 3 tiered back garden. The top tier with outside garden furniture on the patio with the fantastic view. Below that another level with a garden bench, then the garden with a shed and beautiful pots and plants. We would recommend this property highly as a great location to visit so many wonderful places in North Wales.

So pleased you had a nice stay at Min Y Don it was lovely to meet you. Apologies about the folding door we have been waiting for an engineer but it has now been repaired. Thank you for the lovely feedback. Property Owner

About the location

  • Llandudno 5 miles
  • Betws-y-Coed 16 miles

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
