  • "Stunning property with stunning views."

Took 3 teenage boys who took advantage of the games room. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds and sofas. Some nice treats left for us on arrival. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

It was immaculately clean & comfortable. Ar there was 10 of us it was the ideal property for us. It was lovely to arrive to a very warm house, the owners had decorated for Christmas with a lovely tree and other decorations. They also left lots of goodies for Christmas ,including crackers, chocolates and lots of other items. All in all it made for a lovely Christmas with all the family together. We would definitely recommend the property it was fantastic for us.The games room was a bonus for the younger ones. Thankyou so much.If we ever return to the area we would definitely stay here. Jane,Jim,Grant,Nikki ,Mel,Paul,Grace Harry ,Alfie & Teddy.

  • "A lovely spacious house which accommodated 8 of us plus 2 dogs very comfortably."

Well equipped with all the essentials, warm and plenty of hot water. In fact the water pressure in the showers is fabulous, wish our showers at home were half as good. We did have an emergency plumbing issue but Hef the owner sorted it out immediately and even sent us a box of treats for the inconvenience which was very kind. Apart from a small narrow road and driveway leading up to the property, there are no one track roads to negotiate, with the network of main roads and the village in very easy reach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

The house is lovely, spacious ,clean and very well equipped. The whole family enjoyed our stay plus the two dogs who were very safe when they went out into the enclosed garden. The views from the front were stunning and it was very peaceful to sit outside luckily we had lovely weather. I would definitely recommend to anyone but particularly families with differing needs.

  • "Lovely house and great location with lots of beautiful walks nearby."

So quiet and peaceful with beautiful views over to the hills opposite. Would happily stay again. Our only improvements to suggest are to provide more saucepans, as what was there was limited when cooking for a large group, and provide a proper darts board as the magnetic one did not work very well!

  • "We did have a lovely week at this house, the house itself is huge and generally good facilities, however there was no mention of a school directly behind the house, had that been open we would have had a much less relaxing time."

I would also say that the pots and pans would be insufficient for a larger group than us.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Y Tylwth for a weekend away with our kids and their dogs."

It was a perfect base for exploring the area and the enclosed garden was great for keeping the doggies safe. The owners were brilliant in keeping in touch with us for any help & advice we needed. The views from the property were fantastic, especially on the hottest weekend of the year so far. We didn’t really use the games room due to the weather being so hot, but this would definitely had been used more had the weather been poor. Everyone commented on how comfortable the property was and welcoming, The kitchen was very well equipped, there was everything we needed. Due to the forecast & having the dogs with us, we did take fans, so were comfortable at night. If staying in the area again, would have no hesitation in booking again.

It is so peaceful and relaxing. The property is stocked well and provides plenty of space for a large family. One recommendation would be to have more outside garden furniture. There were six of us and unfortunately only four chairs. Aside from that we would 100% return and recommend to all of our friends

  • "We had a lovely time at Y Tylwyth across the easter bank holiday."

The location was perfect for outdoor walks and the views from the property are beautiful. Great outdoor space for our little dog especially being enclosed and safe. The Games room was a great touch (which we used a lot) and had a sociable kitchen and dining area. A couple of things did let the overall experience down. It was a shame there wasn't any outdoor furniture out as the weather was perfect for us to enjoy the outside especially on easter Sunday. While the home is lovely overall, some areas felt a little dated and could benefit from a few touch-ups. There were noticeable marks and defects on some of the walls, and the upstairs bedrooms didn't quite match the quality of the rest of the house - particularly the front bedroom where the carpet fell short in some areas and visible torn/worn marks throughout upstairs. The breakfast bar stools also seemed quite worn, dirty and marked, and they felt a bit too tall for the island making it uncomfortable to sit around. Lastly, we found the sofas in the living room to be unfortunately uncomfortable, which made it harder to fully relax in the evening with the beautiful views. Overall, the house has a lovely feel and lots of potential, but a few updates in terms of comfort and decor/quality of finishes would really elevate the experience. Thank you for having us :)

The property is in a fabulous location in the heart of the Welsh slate mountain area and with some of the best views from the front windows. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms large and comfortable. We were a family of 6 adults, 3 children and a dog and had planty of room. We are a family of 9, ages ranging from 11years old to 75 and Y Tylwyth catered for all our needs. Very clean, and we where shocked by the size of the property, it is very spacious. A warm welcome from the owner who was on hand if we had any questions. A lovely addition is the wonderful selection of books and games in the library and my teenager loved the pool table. Enclosed garden space for the dogs allowed them to enjoy the outdoor space without having to be on the lead - we hope to return. Thank you

Perfect secure garden for them. Always catches the sun somewhere too. Gorgeous views from front and end windows. Huge games room with pool table and darts and loads of books and board games to enjoy as well. My dad who is 84 came with us and it was perfect for him with downstairs bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk in shower and a slightly taller toilet seat. Everything we could have possibly needed for a home from home stay. The most beautiful location, so peaceful day and night with the most amazing walks and views all from the doorstep. The property owners were available if and when needed, which we didn’t as everything was perfect and the welcome pack gave us all the information we needed, thank you also for the welcome gifts. We would highly recommend this property we were 8 adults ranging from 18 -70 and a 14 year old and enjoyed by us all equally. The games room was great and we enjoyed some fun family times in there. There is a supermarket and take away a15 min walk away or a few minutes in the car. The fish and chip shop (Trish and Chips) was lovely as was Red Chilli’s which was Indian/Bangladesh food which was very good we wouldn’t recommend the pizza/burger take away but that’s personal choice. Around a 10 minute drive away the Bryn Hotel was very nice for a nice meal and drinks also. Overall this place was the perfect family break, for our Mums 70th birthday there was something for everyone and we are very much looking forward to returning.

. and we couldn’t have picked a better property. The property was very well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely touch . The views and walks are incredible. If there was anything I would pick at ( being very picky) maybe a couple of serving dishes . I cooked an Easter roast dinner , so serving dishes would have made it easier, but didn’t cause any problems, I found a way :-) . Lovely fish & chip shop 5 minute drive . Local co op , again only 5 minutes in the car ( had everything we needed ) . Thanks again for a really wonderful stay .

Thank you for the kind words, we are very glad you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the serving dishes, and will make sure to make these available for the next guests. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner
